Pewter Report is back at practice for another week of OTAs. They break down what the saw on the day, including the ongoing quarterback battle between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask. They'll also recap the press conferences with what players they spoke to at the facility.

Thursday's episode of the Pewter Report Podcast is a set up to be an exciting one to end the week. Matt Matera and J.C. Allen are joined by Bucs right guard Cody Mauch, who was the Bucs' second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. They'll talk with Mauch about multiple topics that include getting drafted to Tampa Bay and moving from offensive tackle inside to guard. Other subjects consist of developing his skills out North Dakota, how he got his nickname, some of his interests off the field and much more.

There are a number of players that will need to step up for the Bucs this season if they want to remain competitive. Many of the second-year players will be depended on to make progress at key positions. Matt is joined by Evan Winter from AtoZ Sports as they review many players from the group. That includes tackle Logan Hall, running back Rachaad White, offensive tackle Luke Goedeke and much more.

The first week of OTAs has began for the Bucs. Pewter Report was a practice and gives a break down of who was there, who performed well and what players and coaches had to say after. They'll take a look at the new offensive line, which includes Tristan Wirfs moving to left tackle, free agent signing Matt Feiler playing left guard, Luke Goedeke heading to right tackle and second round pick Cody Mauch playing guard. A lot of attention will also be on Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask at quarterback during these sessions.

The Bucs defense has areas on this roster that make you confident that they can thrive going into this season. There's also some parts of it that can be argued would hurt the team. The biggest competition for the Bucs going into OTAs and training camp is Baker Mayfield against Kyle Trask for the right to be the Bucs' next starting quarterback. All of the Bucs rookies have reported to Tampa and they start day 1 of Bucs rookie mini-camp on Friday. Pewter Report will be in attendance for it all. We'll talk to some of the players from the rookie class, watch their practice and speak with Bucs head coach Todd Bowles after to give the biggest points of interest from their first day.

It's an important night in the NFL world as the league releases it's schedule for the 2023 NFL season. We find the exact date and times for when the Bucs play their opponents this year. We'll see if the Bucs get a primetime game as Pewter Report discusses the biggest matchups as well as the the easiest and toughest stretches on the schedule. Can Tampa Bay do better than last season? The timing in which they face each opponent can help predict that decision.

The Pewter Report Podcast returns for another series of podcasts with a bit of a different schedule. We start things off on Wednesday reacting to what we heard from the Bucs offensive coaches at each position. On Wednesday we got to hear from the Bucs defensive and special teams coaches as they evaluate what to expect for next season. We get their opinions on specific players, including inside linebackers coach Larry Foote's thoughts on Devin White requesting a trade. We also talk to the coaches about the new players in the draft class and what they liked about them along with their comments on other players that have been on the roster.

The Bucs not only drafted new players, they also added a lot more with undrafted free agents. There are a few in particular that seem like absolute steals who I have a good chance of making Tampa Bay's 53-man roster. The Pewter Report squad will look at some of the best signings that the Bucs made and check out their roster post-draft.
