Lester, who is 84 years old, said that he felt threatened by Yarl’s size. The young high school junior is 5’8 and only weighs 139lbs. In this week’s episode we discuss the recent announcement of possible indictment against former US President, Donald J. Trump. Manhattan, New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg did confirm that he has plans on indicting the former president for falsifying business documents. If this were to happen, it would be the first time that a former president of the US could be arrested and charged for a crime. Also, the Ugandan parliament has passed a law that would make gay sex punishable by death. How did he get here, and what is he doing to get out of it? And lastly, former basketball players, and current ESPN analyst JJ Redick and Kendrick Perkins clash over comments that Perkins made about racism being an issue in the current MVP voting. In this week’s episode the fellas tackle the recent decision from the Florida Department of Education, and Governor Ron DeSantis to reject the framework for an AP African American studies course for High Schools. The Administration in their rejection stated that the course “As presented, the content of this course is inexplicably contrary to Florida law and significantly lacks educational value.” The backlash has been swift, and with limited clarification from the Governor. For many this is just another example of DeSantis’ attack on “Woke Culture”. We also discuss the decision from Bethune Cookman University to part ways with their prospective football head-coach, Ed Reed. This comes after Reed released multiple videos on Instagram attacking the schools lack of resources and the growing rift between him and the administration.
