The new season of the Story Pirates Podcast is finally here! In this first episode, Lee and Peter set sail on a pirate ship to fulfill their dream of recording the Story Pirates Podcast on the open ocean! They're joined by the entire Story Pirates crew, as well as a real-life pirate captain with...questionable navigation skills. Featured in today’s episode are two new stories: “I Love a Ghost,” by a 5th grader from Mill Creek, WA named Keagon Dougherty and “Fred the Carrot,” by a 2nd grader from Brooklyn, NY named Alex Katsanos. ----- We are now accepting submissions for new stories written by kids!  Our new theme is “Make Up Your Own Holiday.”  Kids, write a story about a made-up holiday, tell us who celebrates the holiday, and how they celebrate it!  Parents, submit your child’s story at www.storypirates.com/podcast

It’s the season finale! With the relaunch of the Story Pirates Podcast just days away Lee and Peter say thank you to all of the fans with a Story Pirates classic, featuring friend and fellow Story Pirate Kristen Schaal. This story was written by a then-1st grader named Madeline DeRoche and it’s called, “I Love You The Best.” Also being released today is the official trailer for new season of the Story Pirates Podcast from Gimlet Media. As the first season of the Story Pirates podcast comes to a close, we present our final greatest hits episode of the season.  Featuring classic stories from the podcast including: "Eat a Spider Day", "The Princess Lifeguard Camp", "Monster Broke", "PB & K Please!" and "The Dazzling Situation." The second story was written by a 2nd grader named Sam and it's called "My Mom is an Annoying Hockey Coach."

It's time to start submitting your brand new original stories for the Story Pirates Podcast relaunch in the fall! While Peter & Lee continue preparation for the podcast relaunch in the fall, the Story Pirates present two stories from the annual Make up Your Own Holiday show: "Little Stop-It Holiday" by kindergartener Zoey and "Switcheroo Day by 5th grader Ellie!

The first was recorded live at the San Francisco Sketch Fest. It is by a 1st grader named Hannah and it's called "I Love Babies." The second was recorded for our radio show back in 2012. It was written by then-9-year-old named Sienna, and it is called "Trip to Happy Burg."

While Lee and Peter prepare for the big podcast relaunch in the Fall, the Story Pirates present another Summer Grab Bag episode featuring "The Alien" by a first grader Faith and "My Pet Peeve" by Kindergartener William.

Welcome to the Story Pirates Summer Grab Bag! In preparation for the podcast relaunch in the fall, Lee and Peter are going on hiatus for the summer. in the mean time we will be releasing a Grab Bag of old Story Pirates classics starting with two of our favorites: "Giant Bugs 2" and "Get That Beat"
