What is this? A (potentially!) new Married At First Sight mini-recap series on the BoH podcast feed. Intrepid ingenue of interpersonal issues Max Quinn takes the reins for this solo pod recapping MAFS Australia: Season 10, Episode 1.

Well, I don't know what we expected. On this episode, we recap a suitably bugnuts finale to match a completely chaotic season of television. This episode featured some of the strangest and most memorable moments of any Bachelor season we can remember - from Thomas' abrupt final dismissal, to the first ever accepted proposal on an Australian Bachelor show, to a last-minute drone invasion. We also give an update on where everyone's at now, over six months since the season wrapped. Plus, Maxy's Tim Burton hot takes,  a detailed analysis of "Kiss me like you're single", and also, does Jed fuck?

We're at the very tail end of 'Finals Week', and in a move that definitely has nothing to do with budget restraints, the show has decided to combine Hometowns with the Meet The Parents (as well as a drop-in from the dreaded Fourth Bachelor) into one great big calamitous clusterfuck. We sat down to record right after Episode 11 aired to figure out how ready (or not ready) everyone seems to be to get engaged, we try and get our heads around Thomas' desire to "create life from scratch", and grapple with just what Damien's deal is, and how it might involve the 'Seven Figure Academy'?

In another gut-reaction podcast recorded straight after the 9th episode of The Bachelors, we remain remarkably on track and tangent-free as we go deep on Jed's songwriting process, Felix's narrative of personal growth, the mishandling of several key participants' storylines this season. We do make some brief stops along the way to discuss our kebab shop orders, Muppets, Rob Zombie, dipping sauces, and Xavier debuts their long-gestating Thomas impression.

We're back back back again, and on this episode we’re doing our best to wrap our heads around the central polyamory storyline between Jess, Felix and the now-just-fully-on-the-show-I-guess Damien. Luck (and our wonderful community) placed the first two episodes into our eagerly outstretched hands a little early, which means we've had ample time to chew over all the changes the producers have made to ensure this is the differentest season yet. This week, on our last episode of Bachelor of Hearts Presents: ScholarShip, we're discussing the final two weeks of The Real Love Boat AU, and as we draw towards the end, the boat show has changed its flavour quite dramatically, and we're still deciding whether or not we're on board. We revisit the way the show has dealt with its story threads, including the last-minute revelation of a cash prize, the differences between its short-term and long-term villains, and The One Thing We Didn't Want To Happen (which totally happened). All this, plus a final set-piece which we'll never forget.

This week, it's a real loosey-goosey podcast - two shorter episodes left us feeling a little high and dry, so we focused mainly on issuing our verdict on Osher Gunsberg's new hairdo, ruminating a little more on our forthcoming Grifter Bachelor, and Max's recent experience with the Flauna. But back on the ship - we learn not to talk to Moana or Courtney after they've had their morning coffee, we wonder whether kissing a French person counts as French kissing, and we ponder the unanswerable question - is Keanu doing a bit??
