Jesus clearly communicates that something totally new enters our life as we trust in Christ with all of our heart. James 1:7-8 - For let not man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Here is some of what the Bible says about being double-minded. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Once we are certain of what Jesus has accomplished for us through His death and resurrection, let us stay single-minded and go after all He has made available for us.

The question I have today for each one of us is HAVE YOU RECEIVED A WORD FROM THE LORD CONCERNING A SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE? The bible teaches us very clearly that when we receive a word from God, the enemy comes to take the word away through different strategies. I believe we need to revisit a trap set for us once we receive a word from God. Mark 4:16 - These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. However, it's the mixture of declarations and worship that I believe to be the key to seeing the results of our prayers. When we take what we know to be true and declare it atmospheres change, mountains move, and things shift on our behalf. When we add these ingredients to our prayers, we will see how powerful our words are.
