On this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, we kicked off two new series watches. From The Gilded Age, we jumped to another costume drama: Season 2 of Bridgerton. It's starting strong with the two romantic leads facing about 8 episodes of obstacles. Next: "Off to the Races" (S2E1).We also started The Afterparty, a comedic locked-room murder mystery (a la Knives Out) starring a very funny Tiffany Haddish and also featuring some of our old pals, like Ben Schwartz (Jean-Ralphio from Parks & Recreation) and Tiya Sircar (Vicky from The Good Place). It's just Terri and Catherine this week, so we're jumping off our entertainment-themed Round 2s to bring you a week of pop-culture inspired discussions. Today, we're talking about times we've experienced social maneuvering a la Mrs. Russell in The Gilded Age.

We recall some shocking plot developments that took us by surprise ... and mourn the fact that watching things months after the fact on our DVRs means it's hard to be shocked anymore. It's a dinner-table dilemma: How to teach kids the manners they need for the real world when they're mostly in the at-home bubble, where burping at the table and eating with your fingers can be easily overlooked.

It's here to stay, folks, so figure out how to use it.

On this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, we wrapped up the (first?) season of As We See It with "Please Don't Leave." Everything's coming up Douglas, and Mandy manages to patch things up with Harrison after he learns about his parents' plans. If the show comes back, we'd like more roommate stories and less focus on the neurotypical drama, please.On The Gilded Age, it's nothing but neurotypical drama in "Irresistible Change" as Tom and Marian have a secret meeting, Turner gets fired, Gladys finally gets to grow up, and George is possibly on the hook for manslaughter (plus, there's drama in Catherine's house which you may overhear). Next week, we'll watch the final two episodes of this season: "Tucked Up in Newport" and "Let the Tournament Begin."

The U.S. Senate's vote to make Daylight Saving Time permanent got us talking about the twice-yearly time change, and whether it really makes kids squirrely or is just a minor inconvenience that's quickly forgotten.

From the latest in late night to our college daytime-show faves, we talk talk-show hosts and who we remember most fondly.
