On this week's show, we're bringing back our March Madness bracket tournament where you, the listeners, get to vote on your favorite Disney matchup. This year, we're doing background music loops from the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts. The background music that you hear at the parks and resorts serves a very specific purpose, which is to complete the scene of the land, ride, attraction, or resort that you're in. I think it's safe to say that the parks and resorts wouldn't be as magical as they are if it weren't for these unique background music loops. As Disney fans, we've come to appreciate this music so much that we even find ways to listen to them when we're not in Walt Disney World. We have whittled the choices down to 32 background music loops that we'll match up against each other in this year's bracket tournament, and Bryce Yelverton and Sara Evans are here to help me introduce the matches and talk about these very special and unique pieces of audio.

On this week's show, I'm showcasing the 19 thrill rides in all of Walt Disney World's 4 major theme parks. Many people know that Disney has some of the best family attractions found in any theme park around the world, but sometimes I feel like not enough credit is given to Disney's many thrill rides. In fact, I've routinely heard my friends refer to Disney parks as being "for kids" or "where you want to go if you want to ride kiddie rides". Walt Disney World has some pretty thrilling attractions with some fascinating facts behind the rides and amazing story and details attached to them. Together, we'll take a look at all 19 of these attractions in Walt Disney World and what makes each of them so unique and special in their own way.

On this week's show, Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to cover all of the news items that occurred throughout the Disney company during the month of February. We'll recap some of the highlights from Disney's latest quarterly earnings call led recently by Bob Iger. We'll also look at some of the additional details that were released about the new Frozen area coming to Hong Kong Disneyland as well as the new San Fransokyo area coming to Disney California Adventure. We'll also remember the longest serving Disney Cast Member, Burny Mattinson, who recently passed away. 

On this week's show, I'm joined  by special guest author James Warda to discuss some of the answers to a question that I'm sure every one of us has asked multiple times, "How does Disney do that?" We all have a memory of that moment in time that we experienced an attraction or a show in the theme parks and we came away from the experience so completely blown away. Whether it was the impressive technology, the emotional impact, or the way the experience achieved something we thought was completely impossible and against the laws of physics, the question is always the same....."How does Disney do that?". James Warda set up a site devoted to Disney fans sharing their experiences and then teamed up with a former Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering to help answer some of these questions in the upcoming book titled, "How Does Disney Do That?". We'll talk about these and a whole lot more!

On this week's show, it's time for another What's News segment with our good friend Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic. Together, we'll cover the latest Disney news and other happenings from around the company, theme parks, and more that occurred during the month of January. The Walt Disney Company really kicked off 2023 the right way with the grand opening of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and a brand new fireworks show at Disneyland and an update to World of Color at Disney California Adventure. We'll also head over to Walt Disney World where we got new details about the Tron Lightcycle Run coaster set to open up later this Spring, the return of 2 popular meet and greets that have been on hiatus for the last 3 years, a new addition to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Pembe Savanna, and much more!

It seems, in many ways, we are on the verge of potentially seeing some rather significant changes and announcements to come over the next year. With the recent return of Bob Iger as CEO, the 100th year anniversary celebration of the Disney company launching, a slew of new entertainment and attractions slated to open up all over the world, and more, we expect to see more major headlines from Disney in 2023. We'll call out some of our predictions of things we think may come to fruition in the coming year and then revisit those predictions next year to see just how close we came to being right.

On this weeks show, our Predictions Panel returns to revisit our 2022 Disney predictions. On this week's show, we're bringing you some special Disney classic and theme park audio care of our loyal listener and audio archivist Sam Polkinghorne. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay at just about every one of the resort hotels on Disney property in the "Disney bubble". They all have something unique to offer Disney guests and they all contain that special Disney magic. However, many of these hotels have captivated me in various different ways, and I've accepted the task of putting them in order from my favorite #1 resort to my least favorite (but still pretty awesome) resort. Not only does it have some of the best effects that have stood the test of time, but it has a story that resonates throughout the mansion that has become both legend and lore at the same time. Behind the scenes, the creation of The Haunted Mansion has an equally mesmerizing story that, believe it or not, goes back to before Walt's Disneyland park was ever built. This week, I'd like to share some of these stories with you as well as some attraction audio from Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring Jack Skellington and the rest of the gang from Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to look back at the month of September and recap the newsworthy items that occurred throughout the world of Disney movies, theme parks, and more. And, let's see, there was a little thing called the D23 Expo that took place last month in the city of Anaheim, CA that produced quite a bit of news in many different divisions of the Disney company. On this week's show, we take a look at the Africa in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and ask ourselves what would we keep, change, or replace about this themed land. Special guests Steven and Paige from the Parks Academy podcast join me along with Sarah Evans to look at one of our favorite themed lands in Walt Disney World. We'll look at all of the attractions, restaurants, shops, and more and look at whether we would keep these things the way they are, change them in some way to improve them, or replace it with something else entirely.
