Here's another one-on-one with a new VaynerMedia hire. As some of you know, I do my best to sit down with new hires at VaynerMedia within their first few months of being at the company. As my schedule gets crazier and the company gets bigger this is hard to do but even a quick few minutes can make all the difference. In this one I sit down with new hire Kenny and we talk about Kenny's past, how he got hired at VM, and what I suggest he do moving forward in order to make the best of his time with us. Here's some special early access for my podcast listeners !! Later today we're releasing the short film to this audio and it's a message everybody needs to hear. Just because entrepreneurship is hot right now doesn't mean it's glamorous or for everybody. The truth is that it's hard and IT'S LONELY. When you're the head there's no blaming anybody else. When the buck stops with you, everything that's broken is your fault. I put out fires for a living. I'm a firefighter. Period. So if you're out there and you want to be a CEO or entrepreneur, you need to be ready to take all the pain that comes with it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one. If any of you caught a recent DailyVee you know that I was a guest on the incredible YouTube channel, 'What's Inside.' If you don't know, they're a father and son duo who created a YouTube channel solely based on a science project they wanted to film one day. Not only have they grown that channel to more than 4 million subscribers but they are genuinely the greatest two people, incredibly smart, and I cannot wait to see what they do down the road. Unfortunately I can't say that my book 'Crush It!' influenced them directly but they are the absolute case study for what's possible in today's day and age. Would love to know what you guys think about this one !!

Not only is he at the top of the game in his craft but he is an amazing person with the most humble of upbringings and whether or not you like hip-hop, you should definitely give this one a listen. Guys ... this is it. There's no secrets. There's no formulas. Nothing worth building was done overnight. There's so many of you trying to "make it" because you've got things to prove and people to impress but if you're doing it for any other reason than for yourself, you're going to lose. I wish I could make all you youngsters know how I feel right now in my body and mind at 41. YOU'VE GOT TIME. Focus on what'll make you happy - have the right intentions - and understand that nothing worthwhile in life comes easy. Please lend this one your ears !!

Mark is a special breed, who built a special product, at a special time. He's an assassin as a businessman and just because it feels like he did it overnight, doesn't mean that we all can become just as successful or even a fraction of it in the same amount of time. There's no shortcuts in life and everything that matters takes time. Stop rushing and looking for the easy way out because there is none - period.
