June 18, 2017 God answers prayer in different ways. It might be yes, no, wait, or here’s something you didn’t ask for. But there’s one prayer God always answers with a yes. It’s the request for wisdom. And the Holy Spirit is your source for daily growth in wisdom.

June 11, 2017 God is continually transforming you. Sometimes that can (mistakenly) feel like God is always disappointed with you. But the Holy Spirit is your source of encouragement. He reminds you that God loves to work through imperfect people – that his promises are true for you.

Those who benefit from those walls are least likely to notice them – or the harm they cause. But Jesus surprised everyone by reaching beyond those walls and beginning conversations. That’s the kind of love that can save us.

What if there’s typo on your passport, a technicality on your visa, or you resemble a wanted criminal? Suddenly you’re on the wrong side of the border and can’t get back. As sinners, we find ourselves on the wrong side of the border between life and death. Who will come to bring us home?

It’s easy to shine the light of Christ when we’re all together. But where does His light need to shine the most? In the places where it’s darkest. That’s where he sends us.

March 5, 2017 Some people are great listeners. They take time for you. They stay focused. You know they care. Some people are great gift-givers. They pay attention to what you like and what you need. When you receive a gift from someone like that, you’re amazed at the thought that went into it. It may not be anything you said you wanted, but it’s just right. And we dare to be bold in our prayers because God is a good listener and a good giver.
