Chicago Police are making changes with officers assignments in an attempt to increase police presence to counter the 51 homicides already in January 2016. On the opposite end of the spectrum, certain Oklahoma schools are posting signs notifying would be criminals that the staff is armed and ready to defend the students. Legislative updates from around the country, FL-Open Carry and Campus Carry bills have both passed the House of Representatives, and that was entertaining in itself, Mike and Kevin talk about that. Police Chief Cathy Lanier jumps on the bandwagon, after the terrorist attack in Paris, saying "the best option for saving lives before the police can get there" would be for citizens to try to subdue, or even kill, the gunman. The only problem is she doesn't say how at the citizens should do that as she is not following through in setting up the procedures for citizens getting a concealed weapon permit. The only thing we can come up with is she wants them to beat a terrorist with another terrorist.

Jerry Henry from GA Carry calls in to talk about the Atlanta police chief that refuses to follow GA state law allowing the department to sell any firearms not needed any longer as evidence. But he will sell firearms issued to his officers. Australian senator critiques Hillary's embrace of his country's gun confiscation, saying " I don't think Australia is a model for the United States on gun control at all". Australia's gun confiscation hasn't really made the slightest difference other than the law abiding citizen cannot own a gun for self defense. The NRA tests one of the first "Smart Guns" with a factory rep... big surprise. It doesn't perform well... at all.
