Acts 9:32-43 NIV 32 As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years. 34 “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Acts 8:9-25 NIV 9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. Acts 8:1-8 NIV 1 And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. 2 Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. 3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Acts 6 NIV 1 In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. 2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. 3 Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. The Apostles perform signs and wonders at Solomon's Portico and are arrested. An Angel frees them from prison and commands them to continue to witness in the Temple Courts. The priests of the Temple are enraged with jealousy.

Peter frames the event of Pentecost withine the narrative of Scripture and the plan of God's Salvation through Jesus Christ in the Spirit.
