Inspired by Issa Rae, Black and Sexy TV, and a variety of other web series, Cylla Senii began writing and building her team for what would soon become her own web series entitled, “Situationships” back in 2014. With a love for acting, storytelling, and romantic comedies, Cylla Senii always had dreams of becoming a filmmaker. After moving back to New York, Cylia spent three years in advertising and one year in radio. Eventually, her hard work and devotion to her craft would lead to her working with Blavity and securing a partnership with BET. Originally from Colombia, Isabel Saavedra is an immigration attorney who moved to the United States in 1998. As the sister of our very own chief marketing officer at Driven Society, Natalia Saavedra, both Isabel and Natalia’s parents decided to leave Colombia to pursue a better future in the states for their children. Throughout college, Isabel always debated whether she wanted to be a social worker or an attorney. Due to this, she started to become very involved politically. By her junior year of college, Isabel knew that she wanted to become an attorney in an effort to help more people.
