Bzpowercast

Come celebrate the end of the year with the BZPowercast! In Episode 30 we start off by interviewing Windrider, one of our newly-promoted Forum Leaders. Then Takuma Nuva, Nuju Metru, and I take a look back at 2011 and all the BZPower and LEGO goings-on from the past solar revolution. After that, I talk to Nuju Metru about the new Tolkien license and what sets we'd like to see and what LEGO will actually make. McSmeag closes things out with a new recording. See you all next year!

The 'Cast is back! This month, we start off with Title Twisters, the current Short Stories contest, with Nuju Metru and 55555. How is summer almost over already? At least the end of the month means a new episode of the BZPowercast, even though the forums are still offline. We start off this episode with another status update explaining where we're at with the upgrade and why we're still offline. Then I talk to Takuma Nuva and Gatanui about LEGO Universe and get some very different perspectives on the game. DeeVee, Nukaya, and ToM Dracone then come on to talk about BrickFair 2011 and how great it was. McSmeag does his part by passing on a new song for your listening pleasure. That's all there is this time, come back in a month for the next episode!

This month marks the two year anniversary of the Powercast and the ten year anniversary of BZPower. Those are quite the milestones! Unfortunately, the forums are still offline, and we start the show up with an update about where we are on that process. Then McSmeag, Hahli Husky, Than the Moa, DeeVee, and Takuma Nuva join me to talk about BZPower's tenth aniversary. We cover a lot of ground, and I'm not sure we make any kind of point, but that's okay. After that, I talk about the upcoming BrickFair with Nuju Metru and Friar Tuck. McSmeag closes things out with a new song. Thank you everyone for ten amazing years!

Twenty four episodes? That's almost two years! Our two year anniversary is right around the corner, and that's a good thing, because with the forums offline there wasn't a lot to talk about this month. But we start out by letting you know how things are going with the site upgrades, because I'm sure you're wondering. Then I talk to Takuma Nuva about the Hero Factory website, its new content, and some other things. After that DeeVee, Nukaya, and I have a nice chat about the upcoming/current BrickFiesta event (or past depending on when you're listening). We wrap things up with a song by McSmeag. Hopefully the forums will be online for our next episode - then we'll really have something to celebrate!

A month has gone by and the forums are still unfortunately offline. But fear not, the Powercast is still here! We start off the show with an update on the status of the forums - something I'm sure you're all dying to hear about. Then Than the Moa and I do a How-To (Live Without) BZPower, giving you some tips on things to do while we work on the site. Finally, Than, Takuma Nuva, and I sit down and talk about the various LEGO videogames that have been released over the years. We're a third of the way through the year, and the end of the month of course means a new BZPowercast. Episode 22 starts out with some speculation on what's coming next in the Hero Factory line, courtesy of Takuma Nuva, Nuju Metru, and Comrade Gato. Then we have our first versus segement between Cyberslam and the Bohrok, hosted by McSmeag and Makaru. Next up Kaiapu, SPIRIT, and I discuss the Hero Factory Recon Recon Hero Builder. Spring is here again! Not sure what that has to do with the Powercast, but I figured I should point it out. This month we start things off by interviewing three of the newest staff members - HAZMAT, Takuma Nuva, and Nuhrii the Metruan. Than the Moa then returns for a few How-To BZPs talking about the NMQ&A forum and more. I announce some big changes in store for BZPower along with Makaru and Comrade Gato. February always goes by so fast, between Toy Fair and those few less days, it's here and gone before you know it. But that's no excuse for no Powercast! We start this month's episode out with a discussion of the big event with McSmeag, where we give you the details on the new sets and let you know what really caught our eye. Then McSmeag and Makaru tell you all about BBC Contest #61. Following that (and it wasn't easy to do), Kaiapu, Deevee, and I talk about all the things we remember about BZPower from back in the day, before it was even BZPower. Things get wrapped up with another music time with Smeag. Enjoy the big two-oh show!

It's time for our first podcast of 2011 and I think this may be one of our best yet! We kick off the the new year with a discussion of the rebooted BZPRPG with Friar Tuck and Emzee. Than the Moa then returns for How-To BZP where we cover three things you shouldn't do on BZPower. After that we have a surprise interview that I hope you all enjoy - I had a great time sitting down with our esteemed guest. 2011 is almost upon us and the staff thought that we should look back at 2010 and what a great year it's been. I start out talking to Hahli Husky and Janus as we look through some of the major highlights of the year and talk a little bit about what next year may bring. Then, we asked you, the members, what your favorite memories of 2010 were, which we're now sharing with you. There were a bunch of excellent replies. Finally we close out the year with a recording from Andrew and Andrew.

We start off with another LEGO convention - xccj and Emperor Whenua talk to me about BrickCon 2010. After that, Than the Moa is back for another How-To BZP about a new rule on BZPower. Smeag and Hahli Husky then return to talk about stereotypes in Bionicle, especially the recent chapter of Yesterday Quest, and share their thoughts on that subject. BZPower went to BrickFair, and now we get to talk about it on the Powercast! The weekend was amazing, so amazing that we didn't have room for anything else in this episode of the show. Smeagol4 (McSmeag), Hahli Husky, Janus, Darth Vader (DeeVee), and Nukaya Cloud Fire all share their memories and thoughts on BrickFair 2010. The Powercast celebrates its first anniversary! BZPower celebrates its ninth anniversary! It's a nonstop party! Then Than stays around to talk about blogs on our How-To BZP. After that, Smeag comes back and is joined by Emzee to talk more about Hero Factory and its story.
