In today’s text, James instructs his readers to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. There is much more to this than it may at first appear. An exposition of James 1: 19-21.

Peter marvels at the love and faith of His readers in a Savior they have never seen and do not see now. What makes our obedient love and absolute trust in Christ so commendable to Peter? It's the fact that the object of our love and faith, the unseen Savior, does not communicate with us outside of His word.
