And there’s good reason for it. It’s an important concept that every business leader needs to understand. The focus on finding and knowing your “why” comes primarily from a great book by Simon Sinek, “Start With Why.” His premise is that every leader or business owner needs to be clear on WHY they are building their business or leading their cause. If they aren’t, they’ll be missing one of the key components that fuels a successful business and team culture. Most people who hang around the entrepreneurial space on the internet (which is where I assume you came across this little post) have asked the question at one time or another. And it’s not an easy question to answer. Behind it is the assumption that there really IS a “should” or “should not” to the issue. In other words, God Himself has an opinion about whether you should be getting into business or not. I think that’s true. No, I KNOW it’s true. God indeed DOES have an opinion on the subject and I have no doubt that one of the most important things you can do is work to discover what His opinion is.
