Ron is often introduced as “one of America’s most familiar faces,” and since his eight year run as Sheriff Mort Metzger on Murder, She Wrote, he has become “one of the world’s most familiar faces. Trained in the Classics at CCC in Chicago, Ron has proven himself equally at home on stage or screen, with Shakespeare or slapstick. More proof of his versatility was seen in Mr. Roberts, where in one production he played Ensign Pulver and in another production, Mr. Roberts himself. Her law enforcement career spanned more than a decade in which she worked in the Special Victims Unit, Mounted Patrol, and the Criminal Investigations Bureau. McGath was the first and only detective in her agency to discover the whereabouts of a clandestine grave without an informant. She exhumed the body of this female victim which led her on a hunt of a serial killer.  McGath worked in various undercover roles and obtained many confessions from murderers and other violent felons, earning the nickname “Tenacious K” and “Bulldog” due to her relentless pursuit of the truth. She received various academic awards and was recognized by the U.S. Secret Service for her investigation which led to the recovery of a fugitive from Kansas who had been in hiding for over twenty years.
