Episode #034: Assholes Make the World a Better Place?
08/02/2018 Duración: 02h23minWe kick this episode off with some current news items, like the LiDAR survey in Guatemala around Mayan ruins, the possible detection of extragalactic exoplanets, and the complete falsification of anthropogenic global warming by world-reknowned, internationally acclaimed, nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman, using physics. Kyle then destroys the dreams of millions of people who have been trying to raise their vibrations and make the world a better place through meditation, when he reads an article about scientists who proved that meditation doesn't work by demonstrating that assholes who meditate are still assholes. He then renews their dreams by pointing out that, since life can be shit sometimes, having assholes around to deal with it is a good thing, so removal of all assholes would leave the rest of us to deal with the shit, which is no one's idea of a better world. In the second hour, Russ reads from Ivan T. Sanderson's book Pursuing the Unexplained about coincidence and how, as a phenomena, i

Episode #033: Manuscript 512 and Global Cataclysm
01/02/2018 Duración: 02h24minEpisode 33! For this esoteric and mysterious episode we return to a subject which many of you expressed interest in and wanted to know more about: Manuscript 512, that fascinating and incredibly frustrating document of the discovery of an ancient, abandoned city deep in the highlands of Brazil and the Amazonian jungle, where the descriptions of all the best pyramids have been eaten by a worm(who was later nominated for, and subsequently won, the 20th Century's Most Annoying Lifeform Ever award as well as the prestigious Most Successful Destruction of Priceless Knowlwedge Since Alexandria Burned award). We also discuss deep ocean impacts causing 20,000ft high tidal waves, whale fossils found high in mountains, marine animals trapped in freshwater lakes at 11,000ft above sea level, anomalous fossilized homo sapien footprints in deep geological strata, and give a much more detailed look at the travesty to archaeology and egyptology that was the entire episode with the shafts and the doors and Hawass and the N

Episode #032: More Bermuda Triangle, Electromagnetism, and Radio
25/01/2018 Duración: 02h21minIn this episode we got started really late due to some technical difficulties, so our conversations tend to meander a bit more than usual, and there are more than the usual number of bad puns and dad jokes. (We have determined that the number of puns and dad jokes is closely proportional to the number of hours it has been since we last slept.) Nevertheless we have some good conversations about the Bermuda Triangle mysteries(as Russ reads more from Into the Bermuda Triangle by Gian Quasar), Nikola Tesla, electromagnetism and radio, skerptards skerpderping everything and swarming wikipedia articles, undocumented meteorites endangering the whole planet due to the government shutdown, and setting fire to flat earthers. A photo of the elevated TangentCube Studio monitor, which we use to display pertinent data during the show, as well as Brett's corrective/helpful/fact checking commentary. Episode #031: Dyslexia, Sleep Triangles and the Bermuda Paralysis
21/01/2018 Duración: 02h23minIn this very special unplugged episode we dyslexia discuss. Kyle had a very dyslexia slight when he was younger, and he continues to experience it today under very conditions specific. We talk about what could possibly be causing it, and Kyle gives an interesting description of feels it how to experience inside dyslexia. We briefly touch on how someone can come close to touching you and you'll feel like they are touching you even though they totally aren't touching you, and how this sensation is similar to the "opressing" sensation people sometimes experience during sleep paralysis(which is probably because incredibly opressive demons are standing there totally not touching you). Pressing on, we bring up the impressive story of the San Pedro mummy, and how Russ saw something in the traveling museum exhibit "Mummys of the World" that looked a lot like the now missing Pedro. Kyle didn't remember this at all, but after pressing him on the subject, he confirmed that true it was. For the last few segments we go

Episode #030: Jeremy Figgins
14/01/2018 Duración: 02h20minEpisode 30 is a fantastic interview with a scholar of all things strange, credentialed ancient historian, Fortean initiate, and most importantly a dedicated Snakebros listener, mister Jeremy Figgins. The official show observer Brett England joins us for the interview, throughout which we discuss....well, just about everything, and Jeremy gives us his unique insight on many classic Snakebro topics. Give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Episode #029: Anti-Memes, Cognitohazards, and... something
11/01/2018 Duración: 02h19minWe start the first episode of 2018 with a great discussion about......about, umm.....wha.....? Well we intended to discuss the concept of anti-memes but....hmmm. Anyway, we talk about the universal and cosmological "twin" concept, also called symmetry, and how this concept seems to extend far back into the depths of prehistory by way of a curious twin mythology. Kyle brings up the beneficial mental aspects of turning off the constant input and "unplugging", as it were, in order to process everything that has been learned and also to take some time for some self improvement mind-hacking goodness. We finish this...oddly short episode....with a brief examination of the recently released UFO footage from the Pentagon and then a discussion of the inherently primitive "Lord of the Flies" culture caused by huge public schools. We kinda feel like we forgot something...? But whatever. Enjoy the show.

Episode #028: Velikovsky, Fossil Plesiosaur Selfies
30/11/2017 Duración: 02h35minWe start out with the latest news on the ScanPyramids project, which is that there is no news. Then we discuss some crazy geology and paleontology factology because Russ is reading Velikovsky's Earth in Upheaval and it's blowing his mind. We're talking islands made entirely of mammoth bones and hippo teeth and glacial erratics so big people accidentally built villages on them. In the second half of the show we discuss a topic that has become a permanent SnakeBro favorite: weird giant triangles. In this case the giant triangle is the Bermuda Triangle, so we discuss the nature of the disappearances and outline a few specific cases, then go into the many theories about the possible causes, and Kyle demonstrates his skerptard skills by skerpderping them all(after which he announces he might be "going profesh"). One of the theories involves pyramids from Atlantis, still activating on occaision from the ocean depths and disappearing everything in sight. So basically a giant weird triangle caused by giant weird tr

Episode #027: The Melba Ketchum Paper, ScanPyramids
24/11/2017 Duración: 02h25minThe Official Show Observer, the honorable and venerated Mr. Brett England, is in studio with us for this episode, here to offer his assessment of the work of Dr. Melba Ketchum and her team in DNA sequencing of possible Sasquatch hair and skin samples. Mr. England has relevant education and thus delivers what is most likely the only competent opinion on this work that has been delivered to the paranormal and podcasting communities(all other opinions having come from know-nothing Skerptards). Aside from that, we discuss the ScanPyramids Project and the possibility of a huge unknown chamber in the GP, Kyle's trip to Italy and the ancient Egyptian artifacts he saw there, and we finish out the show with a few excellent OOPArts.

Episode #025: Sometimes, the Giants are Real
30/09/2017 Duración: 02h24minWe start this episode discussing how modern sports teams can generate a sense of community and commonality in their home cities, creating a situation similar to the ancient "city-states" of Sumer, Akkad, Assyria, etc. We briefly discuss the ongoing project to propose methods for encoding our modern civilization's knowledge into oral traditions, complete with an entertaining exoteric theme which conceals esoteric symbolism which encodes the knowledge. For the rest of the show, we talk about NEPHAS. (aka Giants) Because Russ has been reading Jim Vieira's book, Giants on Record. Sometimes, the Giants are real. We need to get our hands on this KMZ file. This lists many of the sites where giant remains(7+ ft in height or more) were reportedly found.

Episode #023: The Ancient Quest for Immortality
14/09/2017 Duración: 02h15min"C'mon you apes! You wanta live forever?" -Unknown platoon sergeant, 1918 We discuss life expectancy, from the microbiological causes of aging to theoretical possibilities of physical immortality, and the intriguing fact that many ancient civilizations recorded extraordinary long lives of remote ancestors. We discuss the suppression of scientific knowledge that goes counter to contemporary scientific theory, and the fallacy of the concept of "indigenous", and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now but was all very interesting. Here, have some dolmens:

Episode #021: Eclipse Apocalypse Pendulum Conundrum 411
02/09/2017 Duración: 02h35minOn this post-eclipse pre-apocalypse episode we start out by speculating that the Solar Eclipse that just passed across the U.S. is the reason for the sudden macrosizing of Hurricane Harvey, which went on to drown large areas of Texas beneath immense floods of water and, for a brief time, turning the area back into something resembling the "late cretaceous inland sea" that supposedly covered the area. So we here at the SnakeBros compound decided it was time to get out the buttflaps and party like it's 70,000,000 B.C. (±1,200,000y adj). We discuss the Foucault Pendulum Anomaly, where pendulums act very strangely beneath full solar eclipses, implying something is very wrong with Standard Model physics and the way it views gravity and mass and the interaction between them. For the last part of the show, we give an overview of the Missing 411 mystery, followed by several actual accounts of the missing persons.

Episode #020: Do you even Pyramid bro?
27/08/2017 Duración: 02h21minWe start the show talking about how, in this day and age, there are actually still people out there who do not spend an appreciable amount of time thinking about Pyramids. I mean, it's 2017! How are there even people out there who don't think about Pyramids?? Can we get with the program here, on the right side of history please?? Well, we can say for certain that we don't know anyone who doesn't think about pyramids. We don't even talk to people like that. As if. So we do a lot of thinking and talking about pyramids on this episode. We believe pyramids. The pyramids are settled. Build pyramids, not bridges. Questioning the Theory of Pyramids is like questioning the Theory of Gravity. If you do, you'll just die tired.

Episode #019: Connecting the Dots, Comparative Mythology
20/08/2017 Duración: 02h08minIn this episode we discuss how many of the most mysterious ancient sites are connected to each other through sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle, stylistic similarities, and how this fits with the growing picture of ancient history as defined by pulling together ancient texts and myths from all over the world. Bananas continue to not be discussed at all.

Episode #018: Skerptards gonna Skerpderp
11/08/2017 Duración: 02h39minIn this episode we spend a lot of time on the subject of modern so-called "skeptics"(AKA skerptards AKA skerpderpers AKA losers), the concept of "debunking" vs actually disproving or falsification, and the myriad ways that the modern "skeptic" movement is deeply deceptive in their methods and tactics. We also discuss and give examples of how the scientific community in many respects has also engaged in widespread acts of deception both large and small, and how "alternative" or "fringe" or "paranormal" researchers often have some of the most solid, well-supported evidence and arguments because of the constant attacks on their work by the mainstream, which looks for any possible way to discredit even if it is deeply disingenuous and/or fallacious. Since the mainstream does not even come close to holding itself to similar standards, much of it's work has later been shown to fall apart when attempts to recreate it are undertaken. So basically what we're saying is, Nephas 1, Losers 0.

Episode #017: Mysteries of the Maps, the Holy Grail
26/07/2017 Duración: 02h16minWe explore the strange and interesting Mystery of the Maps; Portolano Projection maps made during the 15th and 16th century that appear to contain information incongruous with the state of cartographic and navigational knowledge and ability at the time. We explain "the problem of Longitude" which wasn't overcome until the late 1800s, yet there exist many 16th and 17th century maps with areas of very precise longitude, better than anything we could do up to as recently as the 1950s. We also outline the work of Dr. Charles Hapgood, who studied many of these maps currently housed in the Congressional Library, who went on to publish a book called "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings" We also delve into the original Grail legend, wandering the vast and intimidating labyrinth of Grail Lore and esoterica, until eventually we surprise everyone(ourselves included) by emerging into the light on the other side with a possible solution to this age-old mystery.

Episode #016: Ancient Aliens and Lost Civilizations
20/07/2017 Duración: 02h23minIn this episode we start out with a strange news item about alien/reptilian looking mummified bodies found in Peru, then from there we move on to the Ancient Alien hypothesis vs the Ancient Advanced Civilization hypothesis, consciousness and quantum mechanics, cryogenics and AI, life, the universe, and everything.

Episode #015: The Greatest Man Alive and Electricity
17/07/2017 Duración: 02h08minIn this episode we have a guest, Archer Finley aka GMA(Greatest Man Alive), close friend and SnakeBro who has a degree in Electrical Engineering. So we spend most of the episode asking him questions about electricity and totally not understanding the answers. We also ask his opinion on whether ancient civilizations could have had some understanding of electrical forces. We talk about telluric currents, the Shuttle Tether mission(which was STS 75, not STS 80 as Russ said on the show), Nikola Tesla, and more. One of the strange objects that drifted past during the tether video, which is linked below Huge anomalous sunspot A couple of examples of earthquake lights
