A Mighty Fortress
30/10/2016This morning we celebrate “Reformation Sunday.” It was back on October 31, 1517 that a young monk named Martin Luther stood up to the errors of the church. And as a result, his life was in danger for years to come. Out of these struggles he penned the now famous hymn “A Mighty Fortress,” based on the words of Psalm 46. Who or what do you look to for protection in difficult times? We’ll spend some time discussing that today!

Getting Old
23/10/2016As a church, sometimes outsiders will ask, “What’s the age mix of your church?” Hope looks like an intergenerational family. We have old and young and every stage in between. This fall we’ve been doing a study called “Together: every generation, one church.” Each week we’ve looked at one age group in the church. This week we’re wrapping up the series by talking about what it looks like to “grow old” (something many of us don’t want to admit, but there is much biblical insight into aging).

This week we’re talking to those who are “empty nesters.” Your kids have grown up and “flown away.” The question is now: where do you invest when you have an empty nest?

Finding Balance

This fall we’re doing a study called “Together: every generation, one church.” Each week we’ll be looking at one age group in the church. This week we’re talking specifically to those of you who are parents with children still under your care, asking the question, “How can I find balance in life?”

Gaining Wisdom
25/09/2016As a church, sometimes outsiders will ask, “What’s the age mix of your church?” Hope looks like an intergenerational family. We have old and young and every stage in between. This fall we’re doing a study called “Together: every generation, one church.” Each week we’ll be looking at one age group in the church. This week we’re talking about our 20-something crowd. How can we as a church partner them up with people who will share with them wisdom as they make so many critical decisions at this stage in life?
