In this mini-episode, Dr. Bronson Strickland of the MSU Deer Lab discusses the optimal time to begin working on early season food plots, and fall food plots. He also has recommendations on prepping the soil and the most effective way to get seed in the ground.

Billy Henderson about Osceola Turkey, alligator hunting, and deer hunting in various North American habitats. Captain Billy has lived on the Gulf Coast of Florida for his entire life. He grew up on the Gulf of Mexico fishing the flats as well as offshore and his love for the outdoors continued into the woods chasing everything the Florida Flat woods had to offer. He has traveled the country hunting whitetail, mule deer, elk, and various other species in pursuit of his passion. For nearly 20 years now, he had been a full time, full service outfitter offering hunting a fishing excursions in Florida.

Adam and Mike start this episode off talking about the type of property they hunt on. Adam will be taking a trip to a new state this year and uses the podcast to break the news to his wife. Mike is hoping to gain access to a new piece of private land in the coming weeks. The interview is with Lindsay Thomas Jr, editor of Quality Whitetails magazine, the journal of QDMA, and the QDMA's Director of Communications. The 2017 Southeast Deer Study Group Meeting and the latest research projects that were presented there.

Welcome to the first episode of the Down South Hunting Podcast! On this episode, we introduce Mike and Adam and speak with Wildlife Biologist for the National Forest Service Daryl Ratajczak. Daryl began his career working with black bears in and around Great Smoky Mountains National Park focusing on research and education, which soon landed him a position with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. He was promoted to become the Agency’s Big Game Program Coordinator overseeing Tennessee’s deer, elk, black bear and wild hog programs.
