(June 10, 2023) Father Charles Persing, pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, reminds us that we need to take the time to look and not miss the treasures that are passed on to us. “So often we miss the treasure that God has for us; so often we miss the treasure that’s held in this Eucharist because we just not take the time to really look and to reflect,” Father Persing concluded. 

(June 4, 2023) "We need to just give ourselves completely to God, so that God who already understands us will allow us to understand Him," is the takeaway message which Father Charles Persing delivered in his homily for this Trinity Sunday.

(June 3, 2023) Father Anthony Eseke, priest-in-residence at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, delivered his homily about the mystery and essence of the Most Holy Trinity. Our human mind and human language are limited in our attempts to fully understand this concept. The Bible reveals the very nature and essence of God, giving  us a foretaste of Heaven and asking of us to be active participants in our communion with the Most Holy Trinity. 

(May 28, 2023) “On this Pentecost Sunday, we are invited to the renewal by asking the Holy Spirit to give us the trust we need to live in the love of Jesus Christ,” is the gist of today’s homily by Father Charles Persing. “Come, Holy Spirit, renew the face of the earth; come Holy Spirit, renew us; come Holy Spirit, renew me!”  

(May 27, 2023) On the eve of Pentecost, Father Anthony Eseke invites us to contemplate the five activities of the Holy Sprit as believers to the power to the Spirit: inspiration, recreation, unification, reconciliation, and comfort. 

(May 21, 2023) “What is your biggest burden or fear right now?" Deacon David L. Hall asks in his homily this Sunday morning. “Whatever it is, it is not forever. Our Lord is at work even in the hard things because we are being prepared for the full glory of God.” 

(May 20, 2023) Father Charles Persing reminded us of the events which took place during this Easter season and invited us “to build and grow in our knowledge of Him.” In preparation for Pentecost, Father Persing asked us to strengthen our prayers for renewal, “so that others may see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.”

(May 14, 2023) In his homily this Sunday, Father Charles L Persing focused on the essence of Christian, sacrificial love and the following of God’s commandments. “Jesus teaches us that our life is about loving … about sharing Christ’s love, which is beyond all understanding,” Father Persing said.

(May 13, 2023) Deacon David L Hall reminds us today of the importance of keeping God’s commandments, as our token of love and gratitude towards our Creator.

(April 23, 2023) Father Anthony Eseke, priest-in-residence at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, reflects on the Gospel of Luke 24 through the lens of the narrative about the two apostles on their way to Emmaus. Father focuses on three elements: walk with Jesus, Holy Scripture, and the breaking of Bread.

(April 23, 2023) Walking with God is part of our Christian experience.  That is our chance to encounter Christ, just like the two disciples had on their way to Emmaus. "We are not walking aimlessly and alone along the path of faith," Father Persing said. In those moments, "Jesus very patiently, very discreetly, very contently, continues to walk silently alongside of us."

(April 15, 2023) Deacon David Hall looks into how our lives are changed because Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. "It is the basis of everything we are as Christians," Deacon Hall said. "The Resurrection of Jesus Christ has unleashed the Mercy of God, and it sustains us, and it surrounds us, and it follows us every day of our lives."
