We close our Planet of the Apes mini-month with WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES, the Matt Reeves conclusion (for now!) of the series.

Unfortunately for our loved ones, we have continue to "Go Bananas," as we cover the next movie in the Planet of the Apes reboot series, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. We trade director Rupert Wyatt for Matt Reeves, and get one of the best Hollywood blockbusters of the last 20 years.

We Love to Watch is going bananas and covering the Planet of the Apes reboot series, starting with 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes. This movie was quite the surprise in 2011, when it became a huge blockbuster and kicked off one of best series of the 2000s. We talk about what makes this one special, even in comparison to the rest in the series, and wish that noted sex pest, James Franco, wasn't in it!

We're back to tell you all the movies we've watched so far this month. Spoiler: this entire endeavor has gotten away from us, and our loved ones are scared and lonely.

Our anthology month covers 1995's Tales from the Hood, one of the best anthology horrors ever, and one of the best horror movies from the 90s, period. Anthology Horror month is here for Spooktober! We open with George A. Romero's CREEPSHOW, and next week we've got Rusty Cundieff's TALES FROM THE HOOD. After that, we've got the two Amicus adaptations of EC comics, TALES FROM THE CRYPT/VAULT OF HORROR. We wrap up the month with our massive VHS ep where we rank every segment from the V/H/S films... including V/H/S 99!

It's our most holy time of the year, where we get ourselves psyched up to ruin our relationships with our family and friends by watching nothing but new-to-us horror movies for the month. Our Summer of Kaiju closes with one of the best Godzilla films there ever was, SHIN GODZILLA.

We're approaching the end of our Size Matters double month, but not before we talk about the three Monsterverse movies featuring our big chonky boy: Godzilla (2014), Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla Vs Kong. We're not going too deep into any of these, but we are pretty positive on this take 2 version of an American Godzilla. Next week, we say goodbye to Godzilla with 2016's Shin Godzilla.

Guillermo Del Toro's PACIFIC RIM was an attempt to make peace between big budget spectacle Hollywood filmmaking, obsessed with grimdark pessmistic films, and its more optimistic, adventurous past. New tech, old soul.

Our looks through the Godzilla movies arrives at the Millennium series and Godzilla: Final Wars! This is a love letter to the Showa era featuring a lot of monsters and a lot of green screen. Like a lot of the millennium series, it's somewhat of a mixed bag, but still a lot of fun (Because Godzilla is in it).

HEISEI era comes to a close.

Our look at the Godzilla series comes to the Heisei era with the first two entries, The Return of Godzilla and Godzilla Vs. Biollante. The Return of Godzilla is a reboot that pretends only the 1954 original exists, and it's followed by one of the best in the entire canon, where Godzilla fights the Aubrey II (basically).

We take a pit stop in our Godzilla Month, so cover another 60s era Japanese, Kaiju movie, The X from Outer Space. What if instead of a giant mutated dinosaur, Japan was attacked by a chicken? Well, X going to give it you, baby. We're joined by Brandon Ledet of the Swampflix podcast who like likes this movie.
