    02/03/2021 Duración: 01h05min

Greetings listeners! First up I wanted to give you a heads up about how this episode is going to work, we were once again joined by Brod from Hunting Seasons and had such a blast recording that we ran a little long. So we've decided to make consuming the episodes easier we'll break it up into two parts! This part contains another juicy dose of Dope or Nope as we cover the recent State of Play, gauge our excitement over the new announcements regarding the future of Final Fantasy VII, get ourselves pretty excited over the possibilities of Sony's new announcement regarding PlayStation VR's successor for PS5, and lastly touch on the newest information on the Pokémon series dropped in our lap by Game Freak! We hope you enjoy the episode and keep your eyes out for a Quest Log episode in a few days! If you want to reach out to us feel free to hit us up using the links below! • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 172: The Return of the Nintendo Direct

    23/02/2021 Duración: 02h18min

Greetings listeners! This week on the show Joel and Kyran are joined by their good friend, who they definitely don't pay for the right to say that, Brod of the Hunting Seasons Podcast. We've combined forces to work our way through Nintendo's return to the general Nintendo Direct format for the first time since September 2019, we knock out the headlines with the power of a fully functional Dope or Nope segment and squeeze in a little BlizzCon hype at the end with the latest announcements for both Overwatch 2 and Diablo. Meanwhile in our Quest Log we talk about our time with the Switch release of Super Mario 3D World and the bonus content provided in Bowser's Fury, plus Brod gives Kyran a chance to talk about the Maiden demo for Resident Evil Village on PS5 which he definitely hadn't forgot that he played until this week. Special thanks to Brod for joining us this week! As always if you want to reach out to us you can use the links below! Email: contact@dialogueoptions.com Website: www.dialo

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 171: Living Like a Dragon with Yakuza 7

    16/02/2021 Duración: 01h52min

Greetings listeners! We're back with another episode of the podcast, this week focusing entirely on the games we've been playing! Now that Game of the Year is finalised for us we can start moving into more regular episodes. Kyran has been playing the PS5 version of Remedy's Control and has spent a little time living the life of a deadly shark in Maneater. Finally to round out the episode both Joel and Kyran have now completed Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which is what this episode is mostly focused on. SPOILERS START AT 1:02:30 AND END AT 1:40:10 Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a game we've both been excited for and were lucky enough to be able to squeeze it in, if you like RPGs or have any sort of investment in the Yakuza franchise then this is definitely a game we can recommend you invest some time in. Do it for Ichiban. If you want to reach out to us you can use the links below! • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 170: Game of the Year 2020

    03/02/2021 Duración: 01h16min

Greetings listeners! It's that time of the year again! Join us as we sit down and talk about the greatest games of the year 2020, except with a small change. This year both Joel and Kyran sat down and wrote up their Game of the Year lists and recorded them ahead of putting together this year's show. Joel's list starts at 9m54s and Kyran's at 24m28s. It was our first time really trying something like this, but its definitely something we're interested in trying a little bit more so we hope you enjoy it! Outside of our main ten picks each we also can't help but go off on tangents and talk about our honourable mentions that also came out last year because its impossible to touch on everything. If there are any games that we didn't try last year but you think we should look at then definitely us know! You can reach us by hitting up the links below! • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 169: Video Game Battle Royale 2020 Edition

    12/01/2021 Duración: 01h17min

Greetings listeners! A new year is upon us! Hopefully one that is kinder to all of us, especially after 2020 spent so much time kicking our collective butts. We decided the best way to welcome in the new year was by taking a look back at 2020's video games and doing our annual video game battle royale (which we actually missed last year, foolishly). So we've assembled a list of 22 game that came out last year and we attempt to kill our way through the list, one by one, until only one victor is left standing at the end. We are also currently working on our Game of the Year lists, that episode should come later this month as we attempt to crunch on as many of the year's games as we physically can, plus we'll probably do a bumper Quest Log to cover all of the craziness we've played over the holidays. What's your Game of the Year? Any highlights we have completely forgotten about? Feel free to hit us up using the links below to let us know! Email: contact@dialogueoptions.com Website: www.d

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 168: Cyberpunk Woes

    22/12/2020 Duración: 01h50min

Greetings listeners! First of all, sincere apologies for the delay! As mentioned in the episode, we had fully intended to record this last week but Kyran came down a little sick so we had to push back. We're back now though!  In our Quest Log we take a look at the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 and our very early impressions about the game. We also use this opportunity to look at the disastrous launch of the game and just how astounding it is that CD Projekt Red keeps putting their foot in it each and every day. It is a game that we are enjoying, but it is impossible to deny it is far from the product that the trailers had promised. Meanwhile, in our Bonus Round we resolve our annual Game Awards bet and unfortunately for Joel he finds himself defeated once again at the hands of Kyran by a single point, but what game will he have to play? He's definitely not going to enjoy it. Then we run down a list of announcements from the show, including the reveal of a new Perfect Dark, Sephiroth coming to Smas

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 167: The Game Awards 2020 Prediction Showdown

    30/11/2020 Duración: 01h42min

Greetings listeners! We're back with a new episode and its one of the one's we look forward to for most of the year. The 2020 Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley, are right around the corner and that means it is time to sit down, scour through the nominees and pick who we think will win. We've got stakes and the winner will get to pick a game for the loser to play, which we'll lock in at the start of the results show. We also added in a new element to include our votes as well as who we think wins, so you'll also get to hear who personally hope wins each category (and if you manage to pick them both, then you can score yourself some sweet bonus points). Lastly, at the end of the show we take some time to think about what announcements or reveals we'd like to see at the show. Keighley can't resist a good WORLD PREMIERE and frankly neither can we. If you want to get in touch with us and maybe share some your predictions then feel free to use any of the links below! Email: contact@d

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 166: Becoming the Ghost of Tsushima

    17/11/2020 Duración: 01h26min

Greetings listeners! On this week's episode we're only talking about one game! Sucker Punch's PS4 exclusive from back in August, Ghost of Tsushima. We're joined by our good friend, Brendan Hill, to talk about how much fun we've been having with the free multiplayer expansion that the game received a month or so ago. The mode contains a raid (which we're yet to do), four-play survival missions and two-player story missions. If you slept on this game before, now's a perfect time to pick it up! We also spend some time talking about the base Ghost of Tsushima experience since we really haven't had a chance to since it launched back in August. Be mindful that we do talk full spoilers scattered between the runtime of 00:48.25 to 01:11.50. • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 165: Fear Reborn with Amnesia

    04/11/2020 Duración: 01h59min

Greetings listeners! On this week's episode we've been playing a surprising amount of games! First up, having now reached the game's credits Kyran and Joel sit down to talk about Hades for possibly the last time outside of inevitable Game of the Year discussions (SPOILERS start at 8m15s and run to roughly 13m45s) as well as touch on their time with the recently released demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Meanwhile with their individual play time Joel's been running amok in Bloodroots and living his cyberpunk dream in Ghostrunner and Kyran succumbed to the temptation of the Pokemon DLC and has been feverishly learning to appreciate light as he endures Amnesia: Rebirth (SOME SPOILERS FROM 1h26m28s to 1h30m30s). On top of this we also squeeze in a very quick Bonus Round where we Dope or Nope our way through 2020's last Nintendo Partner Showcase. • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 164: Minecraft Steve's Smash Block Party

    20/10/2020 Duración: 01h50min

Greetings listeners! We're back with a new episode of the show, this week we've got a relatively slim Quest Log after how stacked last week's was. We briefly touch on how we are still incredibly hooked on Supergiant's Hades, then Kyran talks about his time with the demo for the newest Kingdom Hearts game, Melody of Memory, and how he's been finding Minecraft's Steve now that he's available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Meanwhile in the Bonus Round, Sony dropped a short video to showcase the PlayStation 5 User Interface for the first time. It looks slick and responsive plus the store is finally built into the interface itself, which should make for a much more enjoyable experience. Then we take a look at the list of 30 confirmed games that will run on the Xbox Series X and Series S at launch and 10 games that won't run on the PlayStation 5. • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 163: Locking S-Foils in Attack Position

    12/10/2020 Duración: 01h49min

Greetings listeners! We're back with another episode of the Dialogue Options Podcast and this time we've got a jam packed Quest Log episode! We sat down last week to record but realised not only had there not been a great deal of news we could cover on top of us not really having had the chance to play a great deal so we decided to take the week to just play some games. The move paid off as we've got plenty to talk about this week! First up both of us have been spending some time with EA's newest Star Wars game, Squadrons, and we talk about how we're finding it. Joel's been playing in VR and Kyran has been reminded once again just how much he misses the Rogue Squadron games. Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha game with a world heavily inspired by Breath of the Wild and has been taking the world by storm, so we've also spent some time there. Lastly on the individual fronts Joel chats about his time with Need for Speed: Payback and whether or not it manages to scratch that itch t

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 162: Going to Hades and Back

    28/09/2020 Duración: 01h57min

Greetings listeners! This week's episode was delayed by a week after our previous recording suffered from some classic Audacity meddling and our desire to try and avoid that weird feeling of déjà vu that comes from discussing the same topics again. In our Quest Log we talk heavily about the full 1.0 release of Supergiant's Hades coming to Switch and PC as Joel welcomes Kyran into the roguelike fold. If you are a fan of the genre or enjoy a fun romp through some Greek Myth-draped hack and slash gameplay then it is absolutely should give this game a look. Kyran also briefly talks about his time with Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the conflict of enjoying the game whilst being fully aware Nintendo should absolutely have put more effort into making this something special. Meanwhile over in the Bonus Round we play some more mini games of Dope or Nope with the latest Nintendo Direct Mini (featuring Monster Hunter Rise!!) and Sony's PlayStation 5 showcase which was so packed with things it is hard to summa

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 161: Gods and Monsters No More

    15/09/2020 Duración: 01h53min

Greetings listeners! We're back with a new episode, featuring our thoughts on Obsidian's latest early access game, Grounded, which is currently available on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and PC (plus available for purchase on Steam). We talk about how we feel after a few hours of running around a huge backyard and just how awful spiders can truly be. Meanwhile, in the Bonus Round we do a round of mini Dope or Nope for Ubisoft's newest digital presentation and talk about their weak time constraints excuse for holding back a video apology for their latest controversy, additionally we touch on 505's newest blunder with the Control Ultimate Edition controversy, Nintendo announces a new Hyrule Warriors game for November, and briefly ponder what this week's PlayStation 5 event might contain. • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 160: Mario Mania

    09/09/2020 Duración: 01h30min

Greetings listeners! We're back with a new episode of the show, in our Quest Log Joel talks about his fond trip down memory lane shredding it up at the skate park with the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 remasters, Kyran has dabbled with a neat little SNES throw back JRPG called Chained Echoes, and the boy talk about their very early impressions of the release version of Marvel's Avengers and talk about how Kamala Khan is the best. Brief Avengers A-Day content chatter happens from 33:33 to 37:45 Meanwhile in the Bonus Round we break down the surprise Direct that Nintendo dropped to announce a whole bunch of games and products for Mario's 35th anniversary, including the long rumoured Super Mario 3D All-Stars and we talk about the very recent (as in earlier that day) insanity that was the Xbox leaks that lead to the official confirmation of the Xbox Series X. Shout out to Nintendo for announcing a surprise Hyrule Warriors game for November minutes after we finished recording this episode! Email: contact@

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 159: Summer Game Fest Finale

    31/08/2020 Duración: 02h01min

Greetings listeners! On this week's episode of the show Joel has been working up a sweat with Beat Saber and beating up people in River City Girls, whereas Kyran has been grappling with the concept of what is a floor and what is a ceiling in the visually distinct puzzle game Manifold Garden. In Dope or Nope we may have reached the conclusion of the Summer Game Fest (Maybe? Who actually knows at this point) with Gamescom officially kicking off online giving us a bunch of new trailers to browse through from both Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live and Future Games Show hosted by David Hayter and Debi Mae West (who you may know better as Solid Snake and Meryl Silverburgh), plus Nintendo shadow drops a new Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase amongst the stacks of rumours opting for chaos instead of order. • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 158: Assembling for some Avenging

    24/08/2020 Duración: 02h03min

Greetings listeners! On this week's episode of the show we've got a healthy dose of Quest Log, Joel offers up his early impressions on Thunder Lotus' Spiritfarer and how he's finding it, Kyran talks about how they're feeling about the new Battletoads whilst also offering his thoughts on how the game fares a bit further in, and the boys talk about how they found teaming up in the recent open beta for Marvel's Avengers developed by Crystal Dynamics. Meanwhile in the Bonus Round we've got a new list of exciting Nintendo Indies to look forward to after a wonderful Indie World presentation, plus we got our first glimpse at two new DC games. First up was WB Montreal's Gotham Knights, which sees players teaming up in two player co-op as either Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, or Redhood and then we had Rocksteady finally revealing their worst kept secret, that they are working on a Suicide Squad game. In addition, we briefly talk about the controversy over at Rocksteady this past week invol

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 157: Stumbling Towards Greatness

    10/08/2020 Duración: 01h49min

Greetings listeners! We are back with another episode of the podcast and this time around we've got more of a tradtional episode for you! Starting if off with a packed Quest Log featuring our brief spoiler free thoughts about Ghost of Tsushima, revelling in the chaos of Fall Guys and individually Joel has conquered Carrion and Kyran has been cruising though a Freaker-filled world in Days Gone. Meanwhile over in Dope or Nope we brutally move through Sony's August State of Play, which focused solely on third party games for PS4 and PSVR, as well as a few updates on known games coming to the PS5. Rocksteady has finally confirmed that they are making that Suicide Squad game that everyone sort of knew they were making, but did so in a tweet with an image wanting us all to look forward to DC's even in a few weeks. Lastly, Nintendo announces their next (and only one with a date) Switch game in the form of Pikmin 3 Deluxe and we look at how insanely successfully that platform and Animal Crossing have been

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Summer Game Fest Part 4 - Nintendo Partner Showcase, Day of the Devs, and Xbox

    29/07/2020 Duración: 01h37min

Greetings listeners! We're back with another episode (delayed for a day so Kyran's internet could be fixed) where we'll be covering more of Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest.   Up first we have Nintendo's first Partner Showcase, a new initiative going forward where they'll show off select games from their development partners in smaller videos presumably for quicker turnarounds, but we have no idea when the next one will be. Then we've got a second Day of the Devs, featuring updates on some indie games we knew about with some cool new surprises (and SGF concerts both before and after). Lastly, Microsoft steps up to the plate to show off some of their first party offerings including the highly anticipated Halo Infinite.   We seem to be nearing the end of Summer Game Fest and we've also got a Quest Log focused episode coming up, along with ideas on episodes focusing solely on games like The Last of Us Part II, Necrobarista and maybe Ghost of Tsushima.   Want to get in touch with

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Summer Game Fest Part 3 - Devolver Digital and Ubisoft Forward

    14/07/2020 Duración: 01h40min

Greetings listeners! On this week's episode we take a look at some more Summer Game Fest presentations, notably we look at the Devolver Digital and Ubisoft Forward that took place over the weekend. Devolver continue committing to their ridiculous lore and come up with a show that we found pretty entertaining, which helped to alleviate the fact that it was rather light on the game announcements. Easily the most impressive thing about Devolver's presentation was their decision to release the world's first ever "first person marketing experience" in the form of a free-to-play game on Steam called Devolverland, where players get to explore an abandoned convention centre and check out a variety of booths. Ubisoft also had a pretty small show, the big takeaways include deep dives and release dates for both Watch Dogs Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, as well as the reveal for Far Cry 6 (pity it had already leaked days prior), in addition to some mobile announcements Joel also talks abou

  • Dialogue Options Podcast Summer Game Fest Part 2 - The Indie (and EA) Variety Show

    29/06/2020 Duración: 01h52min

Greetings listeners! Welcome to a brand new episode of the show where we attempt to pick through the MANY streams from the last week and a bit in order to highlight some of the games that called out to us. There were so many games announced and shown across the Guerilla Collective, PC Gamer Show, Future Games Show, EA Play Digital, Day of the Devs, and New Game+ presentations that it would be nearly impossible to cover them all without subjecting us and yourselves to several multiple hour episodes. We highly encourage you to check out the streams themselves, because although these are our picks there were many other games that we didn't get a chance to highlight! So, join us for nearly two hours of pure video game bliss as we go over the trailers that caught our eye, many of which were new announcements (or at least game's we'd never heard of before said streams). As always, if there's anything we missed or something you think we should absolutely keep our eye on, we'd love to hear from
