This week we got a rare opportunity to fish AND record with the guest of the episode. Chase drove up from Gainesville and we met Luke at Lake Talquin to try our hand at bass fishing at a new location. While the fishing was slow, it was probably due to a random selection to fish and wasn't a reflection of anyone's abilities. However, Chase lead the day with 4 fish and I brought up the rear with humor. This episode was the first to be recorded in a way that I hope to see more done in the future, live and in person with the guest. On this episode Sean Curran and Bruce Tague of the Sportsmen's Alliance sit down to discuss the current legislative victories and concerns, both on a national and state level. There have been some really great bills passed recently that all sportsmen will benefit from, but unfortunately there are some really bad ones out there as well. Currently, Bruce and his team are monitoring 48 active legislative cycles for bills that would negatively impact the outdoors.  Specifically, if you are a New Mexico listener, or non-resident sportsmen, House Bill 366 and Senate Bill 76 are both currently on the table to remove trapping from ALL public lands.
