This week, guest pastor Adam Miller, the Campus Pastor at Life Church Pittsburgh, preaches a powerful message from Joshua 3, reminding us that we are saved from an ordinary life! God has incredible plans for you, but there is a transitional period to go through to reach them. When you fix your gaze on Jesus, step out in faith, and follow the ways and presence of the almighty God, you position yourself for God to draw out your purpose and prepare you for what lies on the other side of the crossing over.

Are you waiting for a promise from God that you have not seen fulfilled yet? If so, did you know that God's timing is just as important as the promise itself? In the Bible, there are many instances of waiting for the perfect time. Before Jesus performs His first miracle in John 2 and David achieves victory in 2 Samuel 5, both events depend on timing. As Ecclesiastes 3 tells us, there is a time for everything; God is a God of seasons. If you're waiting for a promise to materialize, be encouraged that no matter what, the God we serve is always right on time!

The world's many voices can easily drown out what God wants to speak and do in our lives. There is power in positioning ourselves to hear and be led by the voice of God. God desires us to approach Him not only to ask for what we need but to express our love for Him. He desires us to immerse ourselves in His presence and tune into His voice, simply because of who He is. Our love for Him qualifies us to receive and walk in what no eye has seen or no ear has heard (1 Corinthians 2:9), and reveals to us the secrets that lie in the silence.

Fulfilling the responsibility of our covenant relationship with Jesus requires loving, submitting, and drawing near to Him. As new creations in Christ, we have access to the source of living water and the flowing well within that we must continuously draw from. The enemy will attempt to obstruct and hinder what God wants to accomplish in your life, but the well of living water offers refreshment and grace. Whatever comes your way - whether good or bad - is an opportunity for victory and a chance to witness the impossible becoming possible. While fear is the enemy's entry point, faith is God's access point. Will you allow the world to fill your well, or will you choose to have faith, drawing fresh water from the supernatural wells within?

God has created every life with a plan and a purpose. In his sermon "Positioned for Permission," Pastor David Condon shares the story of Nehemiah, communicating imperative steps believers can take to experience God's perfect plans for their lives. As seen in Nehemiah 2:1-9, permission to be used by God is not granted; it is earned through patience, prayer, and preparation. We all have doors that God longs to lead us to, through, and within. However, we have a part to play. Like Nehemiah, we must remain patient, prayerful, and prepared to ensure we are positioned for permission!

In his Father’s Day message, Pastor Nathan Miller preaches out of Genesis 22–the story of Abraham’s obedience–reminding us of the importance of putting our lives into the hands of God so He can mold us into who we have been created to be. As we are led by Him, obeying the first commandment we have been given– to love God with all our hearts, souls, and minds–everything else in our lives will begin to take shape. When we inject God into every area of our lives, “man up,” and follow Biblical patterns, we will receive Biblical blessings.

God is a God of miracles, signs, and wonders. His grace and mercy abound, and He works where you are, but wants to stretch you to who you've been destined to become. Even when a situation does not make sense, humble yourself before Him; He is already in your tomorrow and knows how the story will end before it begins. As the woman in 1 Kings 17 recognized that the little she had in the natural was just the start of what God had for her, you too can humble and surrender yourself to God knowing He is always before you!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a self-serving gospel. It is for all humanity and is made to bring honor and glory to God on Earth. We are God's ambassadors, the ones He has sent--His appeal to the unsaved is through us. God wants us to yield ourselves and our lives as vessels, no matter our imperfections. When we are filled with God's Word, it is our responsibility to share God's mercy and kindness that we have received and pour it out onto others. It's time to share our stories and reach the one!

The Bible tells us there is a time for everything and for everything, there is a season, and this is your season of "suddenlies"! Strengthen your faith by hearing and speaking God's truth over your life today! In this season, out of obedience to God, take hold of the things holding you down to see a new level of grace on your life and your situation. If He did it then, He will do it now. Be encouraged that you're progressing as long as you're moving forward. As long as you don't quit, you will surely see a "suddenly"!

Reflect on and celebrate the beginning of the church– The Day of Pentecost. On this day in history, we place a special emphasis on the power and work of the Holy Spirit and the unexplainable fruit that walking in line with Him yields. The gifts of the spirit have not ceased. Just as the Holy Spirit moved mightily in the Book of Acts thousands of years ago, when pursuing Him, God will use the Holy Spirit to bring any situation up to speed. As you sow seeds in faith, God is setting up your suddenly. You will see promises fulfilled, knowing in your spirit that this is that which you have prayed for.

Executive Director, Jeff Hancher, brings a powerful message of restoration...how our savior longs to meet us where we are to set us free. In John 4, Jesus fulfills a divine appointment with the woman at the well. This unlikely encounter–the crossing of paths of a Samaritan woman and a Jewish man–reflects the endless bounds Jesus will journey to for every one of us. Whether you feel like an outcast or you’re still carrying burdens from your past, weighed down by guilt and shame, know that you're never too far gone for Jesus.

Did you know there is a difference between happiness and joy? Happiness results from circumstances, while joy is a fruit of the spirit that we have access to if and when we make the choice! Joy is not circumstantial. In Philippians 4:11-13, Paul says, "I have learned how to be content with whatever I have." We are to praise God and experience joy even in the moments we don't perceive as ideal. We have to position our hearts from a place of praise and learn to rejoice even before we see a breakthrough. Our God cannot fail! Joy, peace, and strength are all our portion. What He has done before, He will do again and again.
