Full Episode- (09/17/2024): 3:05pm- On Tuesday, Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference in West Palm Beach and explained that it isn’t in the country’s best interest to have the same agencies that are prosecuting former President Donald Trump simultaneously leading the investigation into Sunday’s assassination attempt. 3:10pm- On Sunday, Secret Service spotted a 58-year-old man hidden inside the perimeter of Donald Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida—armed with an AK-47 style rifle, scope, and ceramic plates likely used as protection from gunfire. According to initial reports, the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, had been hiding at Trump International Golf Club for 12-hours with the intent of assassinating the former president who golfed 300 yards away. Trump also quoted Department of Justice statistics showing that violent crime nationwide has gone up since 2020. Notably, during Tuesday’s debate, moderator David Muir inaccurately fact-checked Trump and claimed that violent crime had not risen during the Biden-Harris Administration.
