Dermot Liddy spoke to Tiernan Lynch after the game.

Derry City travel to Sligo Rovers on Saturday night full of confidence. Manager Tiernan Lynch is keen to keep his team’s momentum going, saying there’s “no reason to change a winning formula.” Michael Duffy, fresh off winning the Player of the Month award, will be a key figure as Derry look to close the gap at the top. Adding further firepower, new signing Dipo Akinyemi joins on a multi-year deal, giving Lynch more options in attack. Sligo, struggling for form, face a tough task against a Derry side with eyes firmly on the title race.

Dipo Akinyemi is a forward who has previously played for clubs including York City and Ayr United. Known for his physical presence and reliable goal-scoring, he joins Derry City on a multi-year contract. His addition is expected to strengthen the team’s attacking options for the upcoming seasons.
