For the first time in a while, Dave Meltzer has gone beyond the five-star rating when assessing a match, and has even gone so far as to suggest this one may be the greatest tag team match of all time. It's an all-British affair this time as RevPro Wrestling hosts its first five-star match in the eyes of Dave Meltzer as Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay, not only possibly the two best wrestlers from the UK, but two of the best wrestlers in the world, clash again for the British championship after a match in New Japan a couple of weeks earlier that Meltzer awarded 4.75 stars. Kazuchika Okada is defending his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the man who defeated him in the G1 Climax block finals en route to earning this Tokyo Dome title shot. It's the second five (and a quarter) star match to happen in one day, but on a different continent as AEW presents its final PPV show before becoming a weekly TV show. It's one of the founders that yet again takes part in the match as The Young Bucks take on their non-union Mexican equivalents in The Lucha Bros. Add to a feud already known for its crazy high spots, they add ladders (and, as you'd expect, some other hardware that makes itself available) and you've probably got yourself quite the light show. Our final WWE match of the series, and our first one under the NXT UK brand. It's also the first match wrestled in the UK to gain (more than) the perfect score from Dave Meltzer. "The Big Strong Boy" Tyler Bate attempts to reclaim his WWE United Kingdom Championship from "Der Ring General" WALTER. So early into this latest WWE spin-off brand and they're already going beyond the five-star barrier. Is the rating justified? It's the final of the G1 Climax and, as of time of uploading, the final match on this list to gain a perfect score (or higher!) from Dave Meltzer to be presented by New Japan. This time Kota Ibushi attempts to jump that final hurdle that eluded him the previous year and win the biggest tournament in wrestling. The man standing opposite him is the apple of Gedo's eyes (both on-screen and, many believe, backstage) in the five-star debutant, and fourth leader of the Bullet Club, Jay White.
