Good morning DCES!  As I sit in my office, I am hoping all our students and families are doing well - check out today's podcast.  We have a co-host!  You have to listen.  We have a great conversation centered around our lives, reflect on our amazing people, share stories, and give you some needed information.  Please listen!

Good morning everyone and welcome back.  We have a special guest on today - Mrs. Briles.  Reminder that an adjustment was made to eLearning for the rest of the year beginning today.  eLearning provided Tuesday and Thursday w/ Friday being make-up/other work.  We are partners with you - let us know if you need anything.  Remember to get the work completed.  IF you have something to turn in, the DCES Foyer is open 24 hours a day - bring the items in and deposit in the correct drawer.  Also, for food delivery on Monday and Wednesday, someone MUST greet the driver at the stop. This is to protect our drivers as 2 helpers were recently bitten. Scholastic online book fair is going on - check it out through a recent email, through our website de.delphi.k12.in.us OR through our FB page.  Also, great job to all the students for putting forth their votes in our own March Madness competition. Burr.....it was cold this morning, but the sun is a great sight!  Gotta find the positives in everything for sure.  We do a quick review of the 7 Habits and how they apply to today.  Also, did several youth shout outs - who will be next?  Also, a segment on Today in History along with a brief overview of the 'new' DCSC calendar that should have been shared via email yesterday.  Thank you all for ALL you do! **I am wearing dress pants and a dress shirt today.  No jeans;)

Welcome to Wednesday!  Reminder about Kindergarten roundup - this begins 'online' this Friday.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Camden Early Childhood Center by calling 574-686-2362.  Our word of the week - mutual understanding.  What does that mean to you?  Also, be sure to come retrieve a paper egg from the DCES foyer.  Those doors are unlocked 24 hours so you can not only get an egg, but also turn in paper homework IF you have it.  Today is food delivery day - looking forward to see you all! #OraclePride

Missing everyone!  However, I do appreciate the emails, phone calls, face-to-face (from a distance) from so many of you.  I am please to have Mrs. Marvin co-hosting today's podcast.  We are using this technology to allow her to do this from her home office while I am in my school office - pretty cool!  Anyway, we celebrate many birthdays, discuss kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year, give several shout outs and discuss the number of shoes Mrs. Marvin has - OMG!  We miss you all and look forward to be back in our school!  Thanks for completing your work AND getting it turned in (either eLearning online OR the paper packet turn in to the school foyer filing cabinet - open 24 hours;)

We have a special 'co-host' this morning - Mr. Kline.  Trying new things and was able to co-host today's podcast from our own locations virtually!  Thank you Mr. Kline!  Word of the week - respect.  Also, numerous shout outs to youth (and adults) working hard!  HBDs are shared with several kids!  Not sure there will be a podcast tomorrow - depends on several factors.  However, I plan to do these every T-Th.

Nope.  No April Fools coming from me today.  I think we are in one of the biggest ones of all time - just waiting for someone to say 'April Fools!'  Anyway, I gave several shout outs to kids today - love what I am hearing is going on at home with our students working hard, leading by example, etc.  Don't forget to take part in the census that is active right now!  Also, I have a 'great' joke to share.   You are da real MVP's!  Thank you all!

Dear Diary, Day 3 of eLearning.  The natives are restless, but we are coming through stronger than ever.   Thanks for listening.  Please share this with your classmates/school mates so everyone is getting this message.  We celebrated today's lone birthday today along with about 10 more for over Spring Break.  Remember, after you complete today's eLearning, you are on Spring Break!  We do not have school next week and resume eLearning the week of March 30 (more to be shared officially soon). Keep those letters and art pieces coming to either/both St. Elizabeth Healthcare and/or Carroll Manor.  Let's spread some love to our residents at the nursing home.  I challenge you!  Let me see a picture of you working on that!  I also shared some questions for families to consider with one another.  I have attached a link with those question - check them out and have some fun - how well can you answer the questions about your child(ren)? Good morning DCES!  Hoping everyone is great today.  Remember, our word of the week is courage.  How do you show courage?  Also, several birthdays today, so be sure to listen to that.  Reminder, I challenge our students/families to write letters to either nursing home - Carroll Manor OR St. Elizabeth Healthcare.  Write a friendly letter and/or draw/color an inspiring picture.  Actually mail that letter - it will do all of our hearts good:)  Reminder, lunch will be provided at both CECC and DCHS from 10-12 today.  We will pass out lunches from 10-12 today and plan to deliver lunches/breakfast via the bus tomorrow (Thursday).  The buses will run their routs but run them around the lunch hour Thursday.  The idea being that the routes/drivers know where their kids live and we can provide food.  This will of course happen near the lunch hour.  And also note that term 3 (T3) report cards have been posted to Skyward.  Parents, log in to Skyward, c

Good morning all!  Today is the (12+1) day of March that happens to fall on a Friday.  Looking forward to a great day in our learning community.  Remember, we will NOT have our PTA Movie Matinee.  We hope to reschedule.  Have a great weekend!

Thursday!  Wow!  Looking forward to another great day at DCES.  Don't forget the PTA Movie Matinee is tomorrow -be sure to have turned that form in!  Be sure to wash your hands frequently and thanks to our staff for helping to keep our building(s) clean!  You 'da real MVP!
