Traveling can be limiting now with COVID, but when you travel to new places, the colors and architecture can inspire you to try something new in your home. In this episode, Kasia shares how she was able to customize her kids closets with shelving kits that grow with them. Plus you can also customize your master closet when building your home. You don't have to go with what the builder uses. Use that budget to customize your closet and hire out someone from Tailored Living in Raleigh like we did. Or you can get custom closets made from the Container Store, IKEA or your local home improvement store. Don't be stuck with just a rod and a shelf. Make it your own and maximize that space!

An aging parent may not be able to keep up with the maintenance of their home and may need to downsize or move into an assisted care facility. Adult children may have to face this challenge with their aging parents to help them sell their home. The weather is getting warmer and we tend to want to sit outdoors and enjoy some peace and quiet. If you could pick an ideal outdoor living space, what would be in it? A screened in porch, pool, place to watch movies, a fireplace, an outdoor kitchen? There are so many things to think about to include flooring, lighting and privacy. Kasia helped a couple redecorate their screened in porch by sending pictures back and forth and doing it all online. Bedrooms tend to gather clutter and these are the top 5 things I see in a bedroom when I'm staging it for clients. So if you want to get your house ready to sell, look around and see if you have these items in your bedroom. Speaking of clutter, Kasia is working on a 5 day decluttering challenge to help you get your house ready to sell. So be on the look out for that in April.

Dining rooms can be formal or less formal depending on your style. And there are a few things to consider when picking a new one for your space. Kasia discusses the height you need to hang the chandelier, the bulbs, the shape and the style.

Some bathrooms may be limited on storage space. Kasia talks about the different kids of storage you can use in your bathroom if you sink cabinet doesn't give you much storage space. Plus she talks about what you should do with the over the toilet storage when selling your home. When it comes to selecting furniture for your living room, you need to ask yourself a few questions when deciding between a couch or a sectional. Make sure to measure the space you are in so you don't get something too big. If you move a lot, be aware it may be harder to find a home that fits a larger sectional. Kasia also share other experiences she has when it comes to a couch and a sectional.

But in fact, all you need is a computer and a word document to help you create a mood board. Kasia explains the use of a mood board and how you can create one to help you visualize your space.
