  • Ep. 164: Traditionalism and the Rise of the Populist Right, with Ben Teitelbaum

    06/07/2021 Duración: 01h04min

My guest this week comes from the Left but authored a great book titled, "War for Eternity: The Return of Traditionalism and the Rise of the Populist Right". Much of this book focuses on Steven K. Bannon and a cast of Traditionalists from around the world. Ben and I take a deep dive into Bannon, as Ben had many meetings, lunches, and dinners with him and his inner circle. We get into what exactly Traditionalism is, what right wing populism is, and how they relate. Bannon is often smeared as dumb, racist, crazy, and more. Ben found him to be very smart, well-read, eccentric, esoteric, and influential. Much of the legacy media ignores the right wing populist movement and writes Bannon off as a powerless nut. Ben discusses how wrong they are to do that. The future of American politics as well as global politics may be heavily influenced by Bannon and the cast of characters discussed in his book. • Ep. 163: We Are Becoming Less Intelligent, with Edward Dutton

    28/06/2021 Duración: 59min

My guest this week is Edward Dutton, author of the book, "At Our Wits' End". Edward doesn't shy away from controversial topics. I come at this wondering why a discussion of the intelligence quotient going down over the decades would even be controversial. Edward Dutton goes through the methodology of IQ and explains the factors that have lead to its decline since the Industrial Revolution. We get into why this would be a contentious issue at all. We discuss the cyclical theory of history and where we may be in that process currently. IQ is trending downward, and it may get worse. Buckle up and enjoy this episode! 14/06/2021 Duración: 01h10min

My guests this week are three guys that must remain anonymous to retain their ability to work in Hollywood. They work in the TV and film industry, and they are creating a 5-part documentary series called, "Follow the Science: On Lockdowns and Liberty". They are the creators of the SoundMind Creative Group which allows fellow creators a space dedicated to freedom of expression and the uninhibited exchange of ideas. In this episode, we get into the project and what all it will cover, from lockdowns and masks to vaccines and more. They are currently raising funds for the project, and we discuss what they need and what we can do to help them. This is a great project, and it's truly vital that it gets out to as many people as possible. Share this episode as far and wide as possible. 07/06/2021 Duración: 01h03min

Peter St Onge is on the show with me this week to discuss what exactly is going on with the economy right now. Why are gas and lumber so much more expensive now? Is it inflation? Does it have to do with the supply chain issues of 2020? How stable is the US Dollar? Is it rapidly losing value? What is so special about Bitcoin? Why does it hold value? Can it inflate? 01/06/2021 Duración: 01h08min

My guest today is Peter G. Klein, Carl Menger Research Fellow of the Mises Institute and W.W. Caruth Chair and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business. Peter joins me to discuss the phenomenon many know as "woke capitalism". We discuss where it came from, what it means, it's relationship with the early "Progressive Era", the massive support the left now has for giant corporations, and more. Peter really does a good job at explaining both the cartoon version of what the Progressive Era was and then what the Progressive Era actually was. • Ep. 158: Going Beyond Libertarianism, with Marc Clair

    24/05/2021 Duración: 01h45min

My guest this week is the Head Lion over at the Lions of Liberty podcast, Marc Clair. Marc's interview style has really been an influence on me, but more than that, I can tell that he's been evolving quite a bit in his thoughts and outlook on everything from libertarianism to spirituality. As someone who respects the work he does, I wanted to bring him on and discuss the evolution I can sense in his work. We go over his part-time life in Mexico, his mindset change over 2020, his messaging, spirituality, his thoughts on what more is needed in the liberty movement, his future, and lots more. We are both really big fans of pro-wrestling, and while you may wonder how that is relevant at all, just listen, and you'll (hopefully) understand our analogies. 18/05/2021 Duración: 01h21min

Today I'm joined by Tho Bishop and Clint from Liberty Lockdown to discuss the evergreen topic of political strategy. Clint is advocating for the Libertarian Party and Mises Caucus as being the best vehicles moving forward for the growth of liberty and messaging. Tho has a different view and pushes for using one of the two major parties in America, specifically for him, the Republican Party. We discuss Dave Smith's possible run as Libertarian Party presidential candidate and a lot more. • Ep. 156: Is the War on Terror Directed at US Citizens Now? with Scott Horton

    11/05/2021 Duración: 01h04min

My guest this week is the great Scott Horton. Scott and I discuss the War on Terror and when, if at all, American troops will finally be withdrawn from Afghanistan. Biden has already torn up the deal that Trump made with the Taliban to remove the troops by May 1, 2021. We also discuss the CIA and other nefarious groups placating the left by pretending that woke-ism and diversity are important issues to champion. At the same time, many individuals high up in government (some formerly so) are telling the country that right-wingers and libertarians are to be watched carefully as a serious threat to national security. Are we now in the CIA's scope? And speaking of the CIA, Scott gives a very good monologue on just how evil they are. Scott Horton is director of , editorial director of , host of Antiwar Radio on in Los Angeles, California, and podcasts from . He's the author of the 2021 book , the 2017 book, , and editor of the 2019 book, . He's conducted more than since 2003. In 2007, Horton won the Austin Chro

  • Ep. 155: More Than Just Liberty and Individualism, with Dr. Thomas Fleming

    04/05/2021 Duración: 01h09min

My guest this week is the brilliant author, journalist, classicist, and historian, Dr. Thomas Fleming. Dr. Fleming first appeared on my radar as a founding member of what was then called The Southern League. We discuss what happened with that organization and what he thinks of secession these days. Dr. Fleming was also the man that Murray Rothbard reached out to and their friendship sprung the paleo-libertarian alliance at the John Randolph Club. We discuss those days and his thoughts on Murray Rothbard and that brand of libertarianism. Then we get into why libertarianism and individuality are simply not enough for a peaceful society. The left will create chaos with the voids that unsupplemented libertarianism leaves. And I couldn't let him get out of here without asking him about his days hanging out with Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground. • Ep. 154: The Left, the Right, and Libertarianism, with Pete Quiñones

    26/04/2021 Duración: 01h03min

Today's episode features my recent appearance on the Freeman Beyond the Wall podcast with Pete Quiñones. Pete and I discuss some of the things I said during a panel at a Mises Institute event in Birmingham, AL. I advised libertarians to start resisting the, often fallacious, claim to be neither left nor right. We discuss why I said that, the pushback I received at the event, secession, the Woke left, and more. I really enjoyed this chat with Pete, and I think you will as well. My guest this week is Iowa State Representative Jeff Shipley. Jeff is a Republican in the style of Ron Paul. We talk about his rise to elected office and how he strives to really listen to his constituents. We discuss his philosophy on the political system in America, his thoughts on the Libertarian Party and the Republican Party, and the issues that are important to him and the people he serves. Jeff has a very refreshing perspective on politics and why he does what he does. We also discuss his push for mushroom decriminalization, his views on foreign policy, and more. • Ep. 151: Finding the Light in the Dim Age, with Vin Armani

    06/04/2021 Duración: 01h10min

Vin Armani is a man with a very fascinating and diverse life story. He now resides in Saipan after seeing the writing on the wall in April 2020. He knew the US was headed in a very bad direction. Vin is here to discuss the age that we now live in. It's what he has coined "The Dim Age". What differentiates it from the Dark Age is that the light is out there to be found. How do we tap into it? We are in a society that now values mysticism and novelty over tradition and reason. Vin is here to discuss exactly how to navigate this. We discuss the ways in which their respective states implemented COVID-19 restrictions and how it has affected their lives. Florida has obviously come out on the winning end now, and California and its governor Gavin Newsom are floundering. We also get into some very good discussion on political strategy and analysis, including their thoughts on populism, culture, and more. This was an excellent chat, and I think you'll enjoy it. My guest today is blowing up on YouTube as of late, and her channel is becoming a must-watch. Her name is Vanessa, and she is otherwise known as Gothix. She joins me to discuss the perceived race issue in America. We discuss her being "canceled" from her previous online presence, as well as her leftist friends dropping her after she, as a black woman, spoke out against things like: BLM, socialism, and the need for "allies". Which types of people do you think attack her the most? It couldn't be the tolerant, progressive, white left, could it? Tune in for a wonderful discussion with a sharp and entertaining guest. My guest today is the proprietor of Freedomain, the biggest philosophy show in the world, Stefan Molyneux. I was honored to bring him on to discuss his exodus from talking politics, although we are fortunate to get a number of political takes in this episode. We also discuss his deep appreciation for philosophy and what it means to him. Stefan has been slandered with the slur of "racist", and we get into why he believes that has happened. • Ep. 147: The Structures of Power and the Problems with Libertarianism, with Matthew Erickson

    08/03/2021 Duración: 01h19min

I am very happy to have as my guest today Matthew Erickson from the Kingpilled Videocast and "Wealth, Power, and Influence, with Jason Stapleton". Matt and I get into what government actually is and why libertarians will always be on the losing end unless they are willing to make some big changes. Matt is very good at breaking down Machiavellian power philosophy and expanding it to current times. The left is more than willing to break every rule to keep power. What will happen if libertarians just agree to abide by the non aggression principle as they continually get buried under more leftist state power? Are principles what are written on the graves of dead men? This episode will make you think.
