No better way to close out Black History Month then to discuss the legacy of the late great Florence "Flo Jo" Griffith. Olympic Gold Medalist Al Joyner and his daughter Mary Ruth Joyner joined David live for both an educational and inspiring discussion.  Flo Jo was an Olympic gold medalist who brought style to track and field with form-fitting bodysuits, six-inch fingernails and amazing speed. She still holds the world records in the 100- and 200-meter events.  Flo Jo died from an epileptic seizure in 1998. Convicted child molester and former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky's son, Jeffrey Sandusky, was recently arrested for child abuse (read article here).  One may wonder if Jeffrey bear witness to the molestation that was done by his father, or even molested himself.  Our guest tonight will be sexual abuse survivor and author Cecil Murphey.  Mr. Murphey will discuss his own childhood sexual abuse and shed light on what Jeffrey may be/have went through.  New York Daily News sports reporter Ebenezer Samuel will join David in the Hit List segment.

Atlantic City, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) announced the first 24 members into its class of 2017. This epic event will take place at The Claridge, a Radisson Hotel located at Park Place & Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Memorial Day Weekend; May 26, 27 and 28, 2017. “This is an excellent class of inductees each-and-every one of these individuals are well deserved and have done remarkable things to help Atlantic City be recognized as a top boxing destination,” said Ray McCline President and Founder of the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame.  Inductees to Atlantic City Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) are named in six categories and selected by ACBHOF’s esteemed committee.  The 2017 inductees in the Fighter category are: Mike Tyson, Arturo Gatti (posthumous), Michael Spinks, Leavander Johnson, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Larry Holmes, and more.
