  • 1.23.17 Charlie Ebersol director of "This Was The XFL"an ESPN Film's 30 for 30

    25/01/2017 Duración: 59min

Great conversation between David Weinstein and director Charlie Ebersol. This Was The XFL A bold challenge, a fearless experiment and ultimately, a spectacular failure. In 2001, sports entertainment titans Dick Ebersol and Vince McMahon launched the XFL. It was hardly the first time a league had tried to compete with the NFL, but the brash audacity of the bid, combined with the personalities and charisma of Ebersol and McMahon and the marketing behemoths of their respective companies -- NBC and WWE -- captured headlines and a sense of undeniable anticipation about what was to come.

Author and fixing expert, Brian Tuohy will breakdown the big financial hit that bettors took over the weekend.  Here's a tease... Packers/Cowboys and Chiefs/Steelers games: "In officiating I think there is a difference between the correct call and the right call, and I think the correct call were made in both instances – I think Cook was inbound on the pass that Rogers threw him at the end of the Packers and Cowboys game. And I think the correct call was made on the hold by the Chief’s lineman against the Steelers on the two point conversion." He continues..."But, the question I have to ask, is that necessarily the right call in the NFL mind
