RAPPO & DEACS, (AUDIO LEVELS TWEAKED) Series 2, Episode 1 Friday, August 2 2019 Hello everyone, this is the first episode of the second series of the RAPPO & DEACS Friday Fix and what a bumper episode it is! The whole concept of the weekly podcast is to try and make it as entertaining and fun as possible, with friends around the Duchy and sometimes further afield, talking football. That’s the local stuff (well, apart from Rappo’s Bet of the Week)! With this one, the start of a new season, we’ve made it a bumper edition. Five managers and one player, all from the South West Peninsula League which starts on Tuesday. We’ve also thrown in a “quick 10 question” section – this week Rappo is answering, or attempting to, but in future we’ll be hoping to get some of you to do so. I really loved some of Rappo’s answers – even if they were way out from being correct! Remember, the beauty of the podcast is that you can stop listening at any time and then return at a convenient time later. TIMINGS:- 1:10 - Close s

  • CORNISH SOCCER talks to John Dent - another in the "Cornish football Nostalgia" series

    05/07/2019 Duración: 01h06min

Another episode in the CORNISH SOCCER Podcast series of trips down memory lane with pure nostalgia, this time with John Dent. John played and went on to manage in the local game for well over 40 years. With such a long, esteemed time in the game, we could have no doubt talked for ages, however in this episode we concentrated on his time as a youngster with his home town club Plymouth Argyle; his “Twin Towers Wembley” memories and of course when he both played and later became manager at his favourite local club – Falmouth Town.  Good times, emotional recollections  and great characters discussed and so take a listen and enjoy. My thanks go to John for sparing the time and giving all us local football supporters an hour of pure nostalgia! He says himself that "I think the club did the right thing for both parties". Enjoy your golf Leigh!
