Jimmy Davis - We discovered this week that Habakkuk 3 brings us to the ultimate question: Who is God when bad things happen, and what are we to do with Him? As we seek the answers to these questions we find that we should tremble because our God is majestic, mighty, merciful, and mysterious. In addition, we should trust because He is good.

Jimmy Davis - What happens when we go to our God with our real prayers? What happens when we genuinely complain about all the sin and injustice around us? What happens when we see ourselves and our sinfulness towards God, other people, and God's creation?

Jimmy Davis - What does it looks like to pray real life prayers from a heart of faith? We can go to our loving Father praying with expectation and hope. We have this hope because we remember God has a plan and He is in His place. While these two things may sound like platitudes, they are truths that we need to get down into our hearts as we cry out to God in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Jimmy Davis - In our sermon series, "A Praying Church," we have moved to the book of Habakkuk, which teaches us how to pray "Real Life Prayers" during difficult days. Jimmy Davis - This past Sunday we resumed our sermon series, "A Praying Church," taking a close look at how Jesus taught his disciples to pray. It is important to note that there is a context to this prayer -- Jesus was sending his first followers on a mission to advance his kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. It is the same for us today. Through this prayer, Jesus tells us that we are a part of a relationship that is engaged in a revolution, and we are partnering with the community of the Trinity to carry out our Father's family business.

Brian Cosby - We had another morning of celebration as this past Sunday Jimmy Davis was installed as our new pastor! Representatives from our sister church, Wayside Presbyterian Church, and our mother church, North Shore Fellowship, joined with us to worship Jesus. Robby Holt gave the charge to Jimmy and to our congregation after Brian Cosby preached a beautiful, convicting sermon from 1 Timothy 4:6-16 titled, "The Calling and Marks of a Faithful Pastor."

Jimmy Davis - What is the starting place for a praying church? We learned that Jesus has much to teach us about how to declare our dependence on His Father as we participate in the mission He's given us to be "beggars who show and tell other beggars where we've found bread."
