Hot Take From The Kitchen

We are going to see who our dedicated fans are now. We hit the road and take our first road trip to The Performance Locker and sit down with Casey Stutzman. We learn how he migrated to Alpena and how he was able to open his studio at Mich-e-ke-wis. We then get to learn about this year's Fourth of July Parade and how the League of Extraordinary Trainers came to help organize it. Finally, we put on our nerd hats and have TWO Top 5's. One with Brad where they discuss their favorite Star Wars moments and then one with Steve where they discuss their favorite Batman story arcs. It's a long episode but one we've been looking forward to since we decided that we wanted to start a podcast!

Our first tandem drops by the Kitchen and the neighborhood will never be the same. Anne Gentry and Don LaBarre stop by and we learn more about Brad's neighbors. Once we have exchanged pleasantries, we each give our Top Five favorite foods located in Alpena. It's a delicious episode! DIG IN!!!

We're getting major now. Mary Beth Stutzman biked over to the Kitchen and talked about Alpena and how its relationship with Major League Fishing started. We learn a bit more about Mary Beth, and how she grew into her role at the Convention Visitors Bureau and our FiveThatsLive this week hits straight home: How You Know You're From Alpena! It's a fantastic episode--and you can hear Brad!

We have a month of female guests lined up for The Kitchen for the month of June! To kick it off we have Michelle McEwen come by and give here input on why she likes to volunteer so much for our community. We talk Duke basketball and a fight between Steve and Brad ensues. After the dust settles we all reveal our Top 5 Pop Cultural Icons and if you've been listening to the show and know Brad at all, this is leading up to a great moment you won't want to miss! Long-time friend Kris Yachcik stops by the Kitchen and we talk Alpena music scene: the ups and down and all the talent in the area and try to talk Kris into letting Brad play in one of his band in hopes to land a woman! For our #FiveThatsLive we talk about our Top Five Biggest Pet Peeves. It's a good one, and we didn't even talk about Bingo Sheets!

Our guest this week is Rick Houchin where we talk about how it's much easier said than done to pursue your passion and how when you lose part of which you identify yourself with can be extremely difficult.
