I have made a commitment today, in writing and everything (even signed) that I would spend time with the Lord for the next 20 days with a minimum of 20 minutes per day. Wow, what a click bait title. Thank you to everyone who has been listening over the years and those of you checking in on me since the podcasts have stopped for a couple months. I think if you have a vision of something big that God wants to accomplish through you it can be tough to take the first step. We read about Ahab today and when a prophet told him he was going to battle and the Lord would make him victorious, he wanted to know "how?" Who are you going to follow? I like how Elijah asks that question to the king and the prophets in attendance in today's reading. What are you doing with your life? I think that is a valid question to ask every now and again, Solomon was successful in seemingly every way but then still (later in life) started worshiping other gods. I like it when God uses people who others would underestimate, we see David early on attack the Philistines with tremendous success!  What stood out to me most was his army at the time, it was likely made up of society's outcasts.
