Jesus is speaking on a mountainside to a crowd of His followers. Chapter 5 of Matthew is known for the beattitudes and the "sermon on the mount." Jesus is here really laying it out for them and encouraging them to practically live out their faith. www.dailychristianpodcast.com

False teachers everywhere, they were around when Peter was warning the church and are still around today. There are those who teach falsely maliciously and then there are those who teach falsely by mistake. Either way, the best way to vet them out is if you yourself are in Gods Word regularly! www.dailychristianpodcast.com

Living the life Christ has called us too is not easy. Sure there can be advantages to living your life in a selfless loving way as scripture instructs us. Are you a Christian because of what you get out of it or because of what God gets out of it? www.dailychristianpodcast.com

Being a believer, in most of the world, is not that difficult. There are a growing number of areas that persecute Christians, but most of those in earshot of this podcast are not experiencing it. Reading through the book of Mark currently. There is a lot of faith talk here through the calling of the disciples and the healings Jesus performed. It was the last verses of Chapter 5 that really stood out to me though... www.dailychristianpodcast.com

The Apostle Paul encourages both Timothy and Titus to teach others. He reminds them that they were taught by him the truth of the gospel and implores them to pass it on to others. Don't let it end with you. www.dailychristianpodcast.com

Why do you go to church? All those who have given their lives to Christ are considered your brothers and sisters, assuming that you have given your life to Christ. Are you encouraging them? Christianity is much more than just deciding to believe in Jesus. It is a life long commitment, something that is never complete until your time on this earth is done. Today is Day 2 of week 4 in the Immerse Bible reading of Messiah. www.dailychristianpodcast.com

The Apostle Paul give the church in Rome a reminder, he says that they already knew everything he was writting to them. He was using it though to remind them. May we all be reminded of how much we need God in our lives. Let's make sure He is our foundation. www.dailychristianpodcast.com

Today was crazy busy, I recorded this podcast on the fly.  Following the rules vs. loving Jesus. When you fully love and honor the Lord, give your life to Christ, you will please Him. You will turn from sin and build a relationship with Him. All the while, you could follow the rules, be a decent human being, and still go to hell to pat for your sins. We read the book of Galatians today. There is so much to take away, I defintely did not do it justice. It sounds to me that it can be tough to be a kindergartner.  Well, at least with the understanding that your confidence can be shaken easily. We are reading through 1 Corinthians now in the Immerse Messiah reading plan (week 3 day 1). Here the Apostle Paul is confronting many issues the church has, one thing is their beliefs and teachings that have been going on since he left the church in Corinth. He emphasizes that Jesus Christ should always be the foundation, but also be aware of what you are building on it. Be sure to build the things that can last the fire.
