On the Fourth Sunday of Advent Pastor Judith explores how Mary and Joseph dealt with their family problems of the time.  Her words remind us that God is with us always, he is not waiting for a better version of us, but is here right now.  Scriptures:  Colossians 1:15-23;  Ephesians 1:3-4, 8-10;   Matthew 1:18-25

Pastor Judith explores the third Sunday of Advent and the joy that can be found even after indescribable loss, such as the Chernobyl accident.  She encourages us to be ready for little glimpses of joy that is on the horizon.  The  scriptures are Isaiah 35:1-10; Joel 2:21-27; James 5:7-10;  and Luke 1:47-55.    

On the second Sunday of Advent, Pastor Judith explores Advent and the time of holy longing, when we look at improbable dreams, like the lion and the lamb, and wonder if they might one day come ture.  The lectionary readings are: of Isaiah 11:1-10;  Psalm 72:1-7, 18-19 ;  Genesis 1:26-30 ; Matthew 3:1-12.  

Paul Mannes and Ben have a look at Matthew 1-2 and see if there is more going on than just a nice story about Jesus' birth.

Pastor Judith welcomes in the Advent season with the scriptures from Isaiah 2:1-5; Genesis 1:1-5; Romans 13:11-14; John 1:1-18.  Judith talks about the hope for Advent and about being the light during the Advent season.

The Racial Justice Group led the worship service this Sunday. The scriptures wer Isaiah 58:6-12; Revelation 21:1-7; Luke 10:25-7.  The sermon was given through three personal though provoking perspectives of Mary McClelland (growing up with segregation), Magda Rolfes (how we can do better to fight racism) , and Merrit Gillard (white supremacy's subtle permutations).

Dan Campbell LCSW and Rich Long, Ed.D., Trinity Mental Health Wellness Team members, talk about anxiety – especially how it touches adults and parents -for a 40-minute podcast.   They answer questions raised after the screening of the documentary, “Angst,” including ideas on how to cope with anxiety and when to seek assistance.  This is one in a series on the topic but is “free-standing” as one may listen in any order.  

On Commitment Sunday, Pastor Judith talks about tithing, living the Jesus way of life and building your life on a strong foundation.  

Pastor Judith preaches on Sirach 11:14, Luke 12:13-21, Matthew 6:19-21.  She addresses 6 possible reasons why God called the landowner's response with the bumper crop "foolish."  What do we do with the gifts God gave us? 

Pastor Judith and Ben sit down and talk about reading the Bible and how she doesn't get bored preaching even after all these years.
