Welcome back to the AFA Podcast, where this week we have a real treat with another Podcast Interview. Evan Vernon talks to voice acting legend Jeff Bergman who has provided the voices of iconic chracters such as Bugs Bunny (including in Tiny Toon Adventures and Space Jam), Fred Flinstone and George Jetson as well as providing the voices of both Trump and Biden in satirical adult comedy Our Cartoon President. Jeff talks about his fateful meeting with the OG voice of Bugs, Mel Blanc, what it's like voicing such iconic characters and the perks of moving into adult animation with Our Cartoon President. Continuing our series of AFA Podcast Interviews, this week we bring you a special episode in which we got to talk with the people behind two brand new series coming to TZGZ, the adult animation block on SYFY. AFA's Evan Vernon spoke with Kelsey Stephanides, creator of magical girl comedy Magical Girl Friendship Squad, where she discusses how she came to create the show and how the series stands out in the world of adult animation by being created by and starring women of color and other underrepresented groups. AFA Contributor Evan Vernon (making his podcast debut) spoke with Latvian filmmaker Gints Zilbalodis,  director, animator, editor, producer and writer on the one-man feature film Away (opening in UK and Ireland cinemas on August 28). During the fascinating conversation, Gints discusses his path to animation and how he came to embark on such an ambitious project at such a young age. He also talks about why he made certain decisions when making the film, and his key influences, which include animators, live-action filmmakers and even videogame designers. Welcome bold adventurers to the fourth episode of our retro cartoon podcast Saturday Morning Cartoon Club! This time Rachael and Chris grab their swords and shields to venture forth into the world of the 1983-85 Dungeons and Dragons animated series. The fantasy cartoon was a fixture on US and UK TV from the 80's through until the early 2000s and was many youngster's first introduction to the iconic role-playing game. We are back with another episode of the AFA Gaming Podcast, the podcast about games and the animation that brings them to life. This time, Rachael and Chris got together (virtually) to talk about the recent unveiling of the PlayStation 5 and the games that were shown off.   The games shown had a wide variety of animation styles and gameplay styles, but among our most anticipated titles were Stray, Horizon Forbidden West,  Spider-Man: Miles Morales and  Kena: Bridge Of Spirits.  Not featured in the presentation, we also had some bonus chat about Assasin's Creed Valhalla, and Rachael recommends the new Nintendo Switch version of The Wonderful 101. Saturday Morning Cartoon Club is AFA's retro podcast dedicated to our favourite cartoons from our childhood- or occasionally modern cartoons that still give us that classic Saturday morning feeling.
