I've decided to do things differently from now on. Instead of preparing for days, doing research, and writing the script, I thought I should turn on my microphone and talk. Yep, just me and the microphone. All by ourselves. Just me and the mic, or should I say, the mic and I. The 7 Hermetic Principles originated from a branch of philosophy called Hermeticism that emerged in around 1st century A.D.  Hermeticism comes from the name Hermes Trismegistus, the mysterious teacher and wise philosopher who was believed to be the reincarnation of both Thoth, an Egyptian god of wisdom and writing and Mercury, the Greek god who rules the realms of the mind. We don’t actually know if Hermes existed. Still, his teachings remained and were passed on through word of mouth until the 20th century when the 7 Principles were recorded into a book called “Kybalion”. Who wrote the “Kybalion” is also unknown. It was published under the ominous name “the Three Initiates”. With so much uncertainty around the 7 Principles, it is easy to dismiss them as fiction or a reminiscence of some ancient cult, but it’s hard to ignore that some of these rings are a little bit true. Post a period of being benched by the Universe   I experienced what some would call an existential crisis. In this episode, I get cozy and personal about what happened to me. Then I tried and answer questions that I had, like, what is an existential crisis? Where does the idea of existentialism come from? What else can cause an existential crisis? Then, I explored what could be done to overcome this period. Ultimately, I hope you enjoy it and find it valuable to you. 

What essential began as a dive into theories about how astrology "works" and influences our lives evolved into a realization that astrology works in mysterious ways. What is important is "why" does astrology works. I explore the "why" on this show, along with looking into what is gaslighting, how millennials were parented, the importance of journaling, releasing anger, my job as an astrologer, and why we should stop making the year 2020 the scapegoat to our recent global problems.
