How many times have you heard - “I’d love to go but I have to find someone to go with  —  I’m not going to travel there by myself. Nobody wants to do that.” More than once I bet. How about seeing an acquaintance eating solo, Do your thoughts immediately go to things like - “Aw, he’s by himself. Maybe we can say hi. No one should have to eat alone. That’s so sad.” Tom Hardy once said, Being alone for a while is dangerous. Once you see how peaceful it is, you don't want to deal with people anymore. There’s nothing wrong with alone time. Recorded in the beautiful Hampton Inn & Suites, Sarasota, FL. Recently several of the blogosphere travel bloggers have been asking that exact question. You don’t need an MBA to know that hotel occupancy numbers are down. However, my own very sophisticated 2-factor research shows that occupancy numbers are on the rise, not by much but they are on the rise. Factor one asking the desk staff during check-in,  "Are you guys getting busier?" Every answer has been, getting busier each week. The other factor is looking at the “break the seal” stickers on the doors. And as I walk the hallway to my room, and more of those seals are indeed broken. Now the hotels could certainly be piling us all on the 2nd floor, but like I said this research was very sophisticated. Thanks for listening.
