We have a different lesson this Sunday as we explore 7 declarations Jesus made about Him being "The Great I Am". And we invited our children to stay for this lesson. So using several illustrations to explain what Jesus meant, we seek to understand that Jesus is EVERYTHING we need and want, and that giving Him our ALL should seem obvious once we understand that. In our lesson this time, we look at a story Jesus told once about being prepared for His 2nd coming. This story is also a warning to all of us and it's something we need to really listen to so what we're confident about who we belong to and where we are going for all of eternity when the Lord returns. Pastor Mel speaks to us about commitment to Jesus from John 21, using a conversation between the Lord Jesus and the Apostle Peter during breakfast. The question is simple from Jesus, "Do you love, Me?" The Apostle Peter 3 times declared that he did indeed love Jesus. But Jesus' response Peter is what the Lord wants from all of us - commitment and love towards Him. We hope this blesses you!

In this lesson, we will look at 3 stories and 3 strong men who controlled people and wouldn't let them go. But, thanks be to God, there is a Stronger Man and His Name is Jesus. And this Jesus will prove His almighty power and authority over sickness, demon possession, and even death and free us forever from sin to live for righteousness. The Lord Jesus came to shape our thinking, to give us Eternal Life and to nourish our souls. In John 6, He gave us insight into these spiritual blessings, but for some it was hard to understand and believe. We will look at what the Bread of Life is and how important it is for our eternal well-being. We hope this blesses you and increases your faith in the Lord!

God is both our Creator and our Redeemer. His desire for us is that we bear Him much fruit of righteousness. In this lesson, we will discover that bearing fruit is our chief end as God's people, that we cannot do it on our own, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is our strength and hope to do so. When Jesus was about to leave this earth, He made concessions for His people so that they could continue and even surpass the works that He had done. So He left us a very special gift. This gift was going to change the world and it just might be the most profound thing anyone can ever experience on this earth. Does the Lord promise to calm every storm or trial in our lives? We'll take a look at a story from Matthew 8 at a time Jesus' disciples had to learn this answer. Jesus does offer us a calm, but the calm He offers us is actually much more profound than calm waters in the physical realm. Hopefully we will gain a calmness in the soul by looking at the Calm of every storm - the Lord Jesus. Blessings to you!

We have spent the last 4 weeks studying the Church and its value in our lives. And now it's time we take what we learned and put it into practice as we seek to scale the Summit of Christianity. We will use the illustration of climbing Mount Everest to hopefully inspire us to climb the biggest, boldest mountain to ever exist - being fully pleasing to our Lord Jesus. Continuing our series on the Church, we now turn our focus to how to function as the Church. In our series on the Church, we have studied what the Church is and why the Church is so important to both God's will and our benefit. This time we will study who makes up the Church and why the Church offers us something no one else or nothing else can. Once we understand what the Church is according to God's Word, we then must understand why it's so beneficial for our souls and the Kingdom of God. In this lesson, to go along with Communion, we study the passage from Luke 17:11-19 about Jesus healing the 10 lepers. Jesus heals 10 lepers and only one returns back to give Jesus thanks for what He did. So we'll discuss Jesus' posing question "Where are the 9?".
