 Palestine Remembered          13-4-19Dr Ahmad Al-Azem; a Palestinian academic from BirZeit University and political commentator gave us an insight into the Israeli elections in light of the rise of fascism and diminishing support for peace in Israel. We played a recording of Bahaa; tour guide from Hebron, telling pro-Palestine activists what it means to be occupied in your own city.  We also celebrated the Algerian and Sudanese people's victory after they forced their long-standing rulers to step down via peaceful protests.

  Palestine Remembered                              6-4-19  Great Return March and Palestine Fair Trade in Melbourne  We spoke this week with Ahmad Abu Artema: member of the organizing committee of the Great March of Return from Gaza, who gave us an inside outlook to the weekly rallies a year after they started and the Israeli brutality towards peaceful refugees. We also spoke with Jennifer Killen who spoke about Palestine Fair trade in Melbourne to promote and support Palestinian food and embroidery business.

Palestine Remembered celebrates International Radio Day recalling early Palestinian Radio station - Huna Al Quds Radio. We also speak about the seismic shift occuring in media towards the Apartheid situation in Palestine.

This week Palestine remembered talks about recent BDS news including Malaysia's principled stand in not allowing Israel to compete in the World Paralympics and the Irish parliament's continuing movement to ban Israeli settlement goods as well as a new campaign by Amnesty International calling for a boycott of hotel booking sites that list illegal settlement homes for rent. We also thank Jewish Voice for Peace for their stand against Zionism.

Palestine Remembered talks to Palestinian Christian Areej Masoud from Bethlehem.  During the interview we visit the challenges Palestinian women face getting breast screenings as well as the normalisation of relations between Arab states and Israel, plus much more.  Areej Masoud was recently in Australia on a tour organised by the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (PIEN).
