John Beck Jr. is the president of The Assessment Company, a 25-year old firm based outside of Donaldsonville in tiny Belle Rose, Louisiana of all places, that was founded by John’s father, and as its name suggests it assesses the "occupational DNA" of a company’s employees, helping the employer to know who to hire, who to fire and who to hang on to. Emily Beck is founder of The Nines Botanicals, a startup that makes skincare products using botanicals – all natural products extracted from plants, fruits, vegetables and herbs.
