For those people of a certain age and demographic here in Melbourne - Penny Modra is someone who needs no introduction. From the days that we cofounded Is Not Magazine together, to her time as the editor of city guide The Thousands, to her long tenure as an arts writer for The Age. Penny is someone who has lived and breathed words her entire career, and has taken that passion and craft into the founding of The Good Copy - A writing school, publisher and shop, for word people. While our two industries may not be in the same exact circles anymore, we thought bringing Penny in would be a perfect way to kickstart our ‘non-industry’ interviews, especially given all the conversation we have around the important role that written communications play in creative production and life in general.
