In the Season 2 finale episode, the show was to investigate the available different solutions for medical aid for an individual that is self-employed a freelancer or an artist. This is after realising that the true reality of things is that most people do not have medical aid and are grossly uninsured and therefore are not prepared for any serious medical emergency. The artist is not prepared for any incident that could lead them to be hospitalized or requiring emergency medical assistance..Our guests went through different options that are available that an individual can go onto the market and purchase in order to provide adequate insurance for different situations, these solutions can be suitable for different individuals depending on age and available income for spending on medical insurance. Episode 7 started as an opportunity to invite a guest to discuss online entrepreneurship and hacks for creatives and other small business entrepreneurs to make passive incomes online. We were able to invite Adewale Adejumo - one of the most sort after South African eCommerce speakers and entrepreneurs on this topic. However, in true hippie fashion, the conversation took some surprise turns early on as we wound up discussing athletics, WWE wrestling, Adewale’s music taste as well as his perspective on human genetic modification. When we eventually decided to get serious after about 25 minutes of good banter, we finally got going in a more practical direction to unpack his journey into the rough and tough world of eCommerce business in Africa. As he tells it himself, as a boy, he believed that he would be the director of a science institute one day. Another exiting episode of finance for hippies kicked off with Ndarkie and Teethswag. This time the elephant in the room was how “Mashonisa financed my exhibition”. For those who don’t know, In the South African townships a “Mashonisa” is usually an individual that gives small loans to people in the community – legally or illegally. They’re known as Loan Sharks in English. The studio guest for this week was none other than Tiffany Mentoor also known as T-Money; Arts administrator at Pro Helvetia South Africa, Chief Executive Officer at The Hidden Hand Studios, who also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Witwatersrand. Amongst many of the interesting topics dissected in this segment was how Tiffany managed to gain some sort of knowledge on the handling of her finances from a young age. In part, this was due to the fact that her parents were able to pass on that knowledge, and so a seed was planted in Tiffany on how to navigate around issues of finance within her own life and in her professio

South African Hip Hop artist Gyre broke into the scene in 2017 with his culture shifting debut digital album titled Queernomics. Although still relatively new to the industry, the self-anointed "King of the Queers" knows a thing or 2 about breaking boundaries and turning his creative flair into a viable business opportunity and lifestyle. Business is often regarded as a very serious endeavor and very often art and artists are not recognized as being business orientated. However in these changing times artists are forced to examine the realm of business in order to make a living and survive in this capitalist system.
