I have been working on these issues for a very long time and I feel a need to let you know more about me as an individual and person. I have studied the issues as they came up for me, with professional help and on my own. I am not a man of medicine or the medical field in any way. What I share with you is what I lived through as it unfolded right in front of me in real life. Decisions that had life and death consequences attached to them and there was no hiding away from them. Like most new and expecting moms, Devin looked for eco friendly products for her home. She learned the hard way during an asthma attack in her second pregnancy that these “green” labels often hide toxins and irritants. Being Heard, Dads Need To Be Heard Too. Here is the platform where you will be heard. Your voice is important and your concerns will be addressed. My child had cancer and everyone believed, as I did, that the odds were, she was going to die. She didn’t. She and I suffered through 6 bouts of cancer. As I tried to talk with friends and family about her, I learned, very quickly, what I could and could not say. On this show, we will talk about all of it: the tender moments and the tough stuff. We need to include Dads in all the conversations: good and bad. The pain of the family’s circumstances is tearing him up too.  Dads are expected to be strong for everyone else and not to talk about the pain. It's time for Dads to be heard as well. Tonights topic fell into my lap through a decision I made not to attend my neices' wedding in Wisconcin. Trying to work this business up off it's knees, I decided to stay home and spend that money on my business, in an effort to help myself and the other 32 million dads affected by chronic illness. When it was insinuated that I was selfish, I bought in immediately, for at least 60 seconds and then remembered that this is one of the many types of conversation we need to address to keep us moving forward in a healthy way. The week that anything that could go wrong DID. Having come to terms with that, I have to kickstart my attitude by remembering all the people who are kind and loving and giving back to the rest of us by working through the worst points of their lives and reaching back to help others. Those who understand the level of pain being endured by others and are offering a hand up. 

We know our congressmen and women are battling whether we are undergoing climate change or not.  Without providing any political preferences we'll be talking about the latest discussions and "edicts" surrounding climate change from a pact between 3 of the largest polluting countries to the international reponse to climate change. I encourage call-ins for a more lively conversation and, unlike Bill O'Reilly,  I promise to be "fair and balanced".
