With songs like Making Melodies and Ha-la-la-la-la-la-la-lelujah the Kids Praise worship leaders usher the youngest congregants of Times Square Church into the presence of God each Sunday morning. Doc Golden, Stephanie Burgos, and Rose Genna share the blessings of serving in this special ministry to children ages 3-8.

While the adults gather in the sanctuary each week, the Times Square Church Children’s Ministry is responsible for ministering to the 1200 children of the congregation. Paivi Antturi, Joe Gatke, and Shy Obillos, of the Childrens’ Ministry Worship Team, share the joys and challenges of training up our children in music and worship.

Summit International School of Ministry is a place where students set aside two years to unplug, seek God, and learn to know Christ in a living and intimate way. Music with a Mission speaks with the school’s music director, Christina Godshall, and the entire diverse student body, about the role of music and worship in this unique setting.

Times Square Church’s own Pastor William Carrol is a powerful preacher with an angelic singing voice. On Music with a Mission, he shares insight into the role of music in our worship, and words of encouragement and admonition to those who serve in various areas of Music Ministry.

As a worship leader, music teacher and choir director for Hope Center Arts, Marisha “Reesh” Rodriguez uses music to share Christ with members of her community who may never have heard the Gospel. On Music with a Mission, she shares her personal testimony and two original songs: “Midnight Diamond” and “Will You Come”.

When asked how to be a good Christian rapper, Andy Mineo’s response is – be a good Christian, if you know Jesus and enjoy him it’ll come out in your music. On Music with a Mission, Andy shares insight into what it means to be young, urban and in love with Jesus. Podcast features tracks from his Formerly Known project, and his answers to tough questions posted by his twitter followers.

Daniel Steele, of Hope Center Arts, is a musician and producer whose creativity knows no limit. He shares the process of producing Sam Cintron’s Standing in Babylon CD and theatrical concert, as well as his own EP release entitled Product.

Vince and Megan Edmund are worship leaders who have moved beyond disappointment in the church to form the music and outreach ministry, Rockin’ the Nations. On Music with a Mission, they share their journey, and songs from Rockin’ the Nations debut CD New Tomorrow.

Worship leader and multi-instrumentalist Dave Edwards has a heart to build unity among Christians, and to equip worshippers both musically and spiritually. He shares his testimony, his vision, his musical expertise and some original songs on Music with a Mission.

At the end of each week, Times Square Church congregants are invited to lay down their burdens and feed on God’s word during Pastor William Carrol’s Friday Night Teaching Series. Mandy Zech leads the team of musicians and singers who set the atmosphere of worship for this class each week. On Music with a Mission they discuss the challenges and rewards of serving in this particular area of music ministry.

Saxophonist Craig Crawford returns to Music with a Mission, along with his band, the Craig Crawford Players. These seasoned musicians share wisdom learned along the 25 year journey playing together as a Christian jazz band.

Music with a Mission continues a month-long celebration of Christmas with this third installment of the Hymns to Him series. Greg Thomas, Misty Quinn, and Jessi Carrasco discuss the stories behind listeners' favorite Christmas Hymns including O Come All Ye Faithful, What Child is This, and O Holy Night.

There is nothing quite as captivating as 150 male singers declaring the wonders of God in thunderous harmony! By popular demand, TSC Music has once again formed an all Male Praise Chorus (MPC) to minister with a big band at the upcoming production entitled Merry Gentlemen. Representatives of the MPC share what it has meant to them to sing and fellowship as part of this unique ministry, and give a preview of what we can expect to hear during the production.

TSC Music kicks off the holiday season with music from our very own seasonal album, entitled Christmas in Times Square. Co-producers Greg Thomas and Clay Bogan discuss the process of collaborating and recording this collection of brand new songs and fresh arrangements of Christmas classics.

Amazing Grace, It is Well with My Soul, and How Great Thou Art remain some of the most beloved hymns of the church. Greg Thomas discusses the stories behind these and other favorites with Misty Quinn and Jessi Carrasco on this second installment of the Hymns to Him series.

The staff of TSC Missions is comprised of musicians, singers, and highly creative people. Though their day-to-day responsibilities are mostly administrative, they are known around the church office for breaking out in spontaneous worship sessions. They discuss the integral role that music plays in their work and share some live worship and original tunes on Music with a Mission.

Can Jesus be found in New York City? Multimedia journalist Sammy Levine is co-founder of Redeem the City, an online ministry dedicated to answering that question through documentaries, interviews and photography. On Music with a Mission, Sammy shares how God is working throughout the city, particularly in the areas of music and culture.

God has entrusted every ministry of the church, from generation to generation, with the same mission: to go and make disciples of all nations. In his teaching from the recent TSC Music ministry workshop, musician and missionary Juha Antturi reminds us of the big picture of the advancement of the kingdom of God, from the early church through the 21st century.
