  • Free Military Holiday Camp For Service Kids

    Moorland School in Lancashire are offering service pupils a week of adventure this October. The academic institution is running a free holiday camp for military children. Activities will include football, swimming, circus skills, basketball and a cinema visit. Even meals and boarding are taken care of. Headteacher Jonathan Harrison says: "we are delighted to be able to offer these weeks for the Children of Military Parents. It should be a fun packed week which the children will enjoy and remember."     His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Colonel of The Highlanders, 4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland visits Bourlon Barracks in Catterick Garrison. It's the first time that His Royal Highness has visited the Battalion in its new barracks in Catterick since moving from Bad Fallingbostel, Germany in July 2015. The Duke of Edinburgh inspected the ranks of the Quarter Guard, provided by the men of Alpha Company. After a quick stop for a Battalion photograph, Prince Philip was guided around several Company presentation stands.
