In Episode 257 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett discuss various press conferences, available Reds starting pitchers, and former Mets players in new spots. In the second half of the show we are joined by Andrew Koo from the BP stats team to chat about what a modern analytics department does, the public/private gap on prospects, and what the Mets first steps should be to build out their baseball operations. Then in the third half of the show we have some very long emails.

We recorded a day early because there has been news. The Mets have a GM! The Mets have a starting catcher! Hijo del Vikingo is back in AAA! We also answer questions about that free agent pitcher you might have heard of, the Rule 5 draft, and Trevor Lawrence.

In Episode 255 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett spend the first twenty minutes breaking down the state of the Phillies, looking at old Phillies prospect lists, and all the other Phillies-related stuff you'd come to love from your favorite Mets-adjacent podcast. We do eventually get to the Mets stuff, breaking down the James McCann and Jake Odorizzi rumors, examine our bad tender deadline predictions, and try to figure out where the Mets front office search is going. In the third half of the show we have an important Jets football update and some AEW thoughts.

In Episode 254 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey is unable to steer Jarrett away from talking about football, and Jets football at that, for the first bit. Eventually we get onto Sandy's press conference (yes that was only last week) and what to do about the front office. We also talk non-tenders and the mess that is minor league realignment. Then in the third half of the show, we answer your e-mails...about Francisco Lindor...and well...

In Episode 253 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett discuss the newest free agent Met, the fact that there are no new 40-man Mets, and even do an off the cuff Rule 5 draft preview. Then in the second half of the show, we chat with David Roth about Chris Flexen, bars at Citi Field, Steve Cohen's posting energy, and the other Wilpon brother. Finally in the third half of the show we remember we were supposed to talk about the current front office search and get into politics instead of pro wrestling.

Mid-week podcasts will continue until morale improves. Or news stops happening. One of those.

In Episode 251 of For All You Kids Out There, the Mets stopped making news after our two midweek episodes, so you can just consider them an extended first half of the show. We do add some thoughts on Chris Flexen, Kim Ng, the Marlins Roster Resource page, and George Springer. Then we answer your questions on Mets Kremlinology (one last time?) and a potential Michael Conforto extension (definitely not the last time).
