Today is the day or was the day... today is a day.  7.5.20 was our original wedding date was today. The Wedding Edition started out as a mini series. Awesome and I wanted to document our wedding planning experience from two black millennials point of view.  We wanted to be representation in a space that was not cultural diverse at all. COVID-19 hit and GOD had other plans. Those plans actually turned out for the best. Awesome and I grew closer, worked on our communication, we started a few businesses (new content coming soon), we were listed as the top 8 podcast in NJ by the Asbury Park Press. So many good things came out of us having this time together. Our wedding new date is 7.5.21. We are so excited to celebrate next year with all our family and friends. You guys always ask for her back so today is the day!  I sit back down with my mom and we talk about our careers in the casino industry. It's been fun working in the same industry as my mom. She has been my biggest support system navigating my career. We work in the same industry but, veryyyyyyy different departments. My mom is an award winning table games dealer & instructor turned manager. I work in live entertainment venue operations. Fatiah Touray, Esq. is the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Sarah Lawrence College.  In this capacity, Fatiah is a key member of the executive leadership team and is charged with the strategic planning and implementation of diversity throughout the institution.   Prior to this she served as the Assistant Dean of Diversity and International Students at the College of Arts and Science and Director of the Academic Achievement Program (AAP) at New York University.  She has also served multiple roles in the legal field including a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable James Jackson in the Superior Court of New Jersey and a legal consultant at the United Nations for MediaGlobal News.
